Some of the food is a hit or a miss , but its really filling. I really like their cheese wontons. Crispy and creamy just the way I like it. However be careful ,some of the sushi doesn't match the photo they provide. It still good regardless.

Do not waste time and money going there. The restaurant doesn’t have enough salmon to offer to patrons and let them to believe they can eat all being offered in the menu. It is either very poor business skills or bad faith. If the restaurant doesn’t have enough salmon for AYCE, please either (1) let patrons know before letting them in, (2) put a cap on the limit of pieces of salmon sashimi, rolls etc (3) stay out of AYCE business. My friends and I were looking for AYCE around Waterloo and this restaurant was the only one with waiting time less than 1 hour last Saturday night. We decided to give it a try even though we read some bad reviews beforehand. We totally regret now. We arrived there around 7pm and, to summarize the regret, they had minimum to none amount of salmon. All options with salmon in the menu either didn’t arrive at the table or came with minimum to none quantity (e.g attempted to order salmon sashimi many times, but only 10 pieces came the whole evening). Do a favor to yourself in case you crave for Japanese today: turn around and find another place.

I ordered the first time here and was very disappointed. The sushi was bland and fell apart when I lifted it with the chop sticks. The Pad Thai was spicy but had no flavour. The only reason I gave 2 stars was that the miso soup was fine.

Ordered sashimi and none of it came. They told us last call and pretended they didn’t realize. If you can’t afford to provide all you can eat sushi don’t advertise as such. We won’t be coming back. If you want to eat rice, come here, if you want to eat sushi go somewhere else.

- The bathroom doors legit DO NOT close and there was toilet cleaner left out which is a health and safety hazard - Some guy was vaping in there, they saw and said nothing - The dessert was… interesting. The orange cake was really stale and one of the slices looked like it had a bite taken out of it. The cheesecake was cut into squares the size of the spaces of a checkers board. The cream puffs were still frozen when brought to us - the appetizers had incredibly small portion sizes - the food (not counting dessert) was like 5/10 at best, you could get the same thing at the supermarket lol - its like $40 dollars for dinner, ~$30 if you're paying in cash, which isn't worth it The place generally has potential, it just needs work in my opinion. My friend and I saw it had a 3.5 and still went, ended up receiving like 2 star service lol

Perhaps this is just a factor of recent spikes in inflation,,, but the sushi quality for the price I paid,,, was not what I was expecting. For a cheaper price,,, you can have an equally filling meal at Ken's. I find that good sushi tends to be more well packed,,, higher quality sushi having the outer layer of rice be more dense than the inner layer. The wasabi that was only provided when I asked,,, was very strange. Perhaps this was because they somehow are selling real wasabi,,, but since the wasabi looked like it came from a pump-dispenser, I'm led to believe it's of a lower grade -- as in even cheaper than usual fake wasabi. Almost no flavour apart from a hint of sweetness and spicyness. But I digress,,, perhaps this is just how good wasabi is,,, as it is, as I understand, supposed to not interfere with the flavor of the sushi, that is be not overpowering in flavor. The ordering system was pretty buggy,,, and often dishes were randomly added or not added when you would press the 'add to cart' button. Water is seemingly hidden from the customer,,, as bottled water is the only water available from the menu -- and all the drinks are an added cost. With reliance on technology,,, the customer-waiter relationship is not there. Hence it wasn't so much 'service' as much as delivery. Overall, however, the food was filling and pretty fresh.

I ordered one Beef Fried Udon and One Seafood Ramen. Both came with This was not only disappointing but also wasting money even amid Inflation. Anyway, chef might have made mistake but the taste of the food was so bad that we lost our interest to take a second spoon. The food was too much salty. I would definitely not recommend this place.
