About Tip of Spear Academy
"Tip of the Spear" is a term that military tacticians use to reference the first combat force that punctures the enemy's initial lines of defense. It is a proactive and reactionary team or force, which exists to provide security, protection, and assistance to the people and property under its care. As with a physical spear, the TOS doesn’t do all of the work, but without it, the spear itself is not a spear, but simply a blunt stick. The tip is the first to go in, the part the starts the process for the rest of the spear to do its job and bring down the insurgents. Those team members which are the leading edge of an incident, or potential problem, are considered to be the “Tip” of the spear.
In more recent usage, it means to be a trailblazer; the first to venture into a new endeavor. We are passionate about providing current, cutting edge training to these "first responders".

Dave is a fabulous instructor, his sense of humour often has the entire class laughing. His teaching is efficient and it ensures that I leave each class feeling as though I’m progressing towards becoming a more confident and proficient disciple.
The class environment is very positive and I highly recommend that people train here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did the online private investigator training and while it was easy to navigate it definitely has not been updated in a few years and only offered the information on the slides with no further explanation. Though I passed the provincial exam, 75 % of the stuff I studied in the practice exams was not even on the final exams and I guessed a lot of the answers using common sense. There were almost no charter questions and that is the bulk of what was practiced. A little frustrating and I would definitely recommend find alternative ways of practicing for the exam because the course does not cover a lot of what is asked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The online training was good but I got no reply for my complaints or questions. I paid an all inclusive fee with the exam fee included but I was made to pay again for the exam. They said the exam fee waiver period ended but I didn't see that when I paid for the training.
Edit: So I actually got fast replies for my questions and complaints but they went to my spam folder. It looks like my browser that didn't update the info that the inclusive fee period was over or I didn't notice it. I am happy the issue was resolved. Sorry Tip of Spear for the short period my poor review lasted and thanks for investigating the issue.
