★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I won my auction and noticed my credit card had already been charged so I called to make an appointment to pick them up. When I attended (45 min drive) the employee said they couldn’t find my name on the appointment list then worse so they couldn’t find my item. Two employees were helpful and looked hard but couldn’t find my items. They believe they had been given away to someone else by accident. Charging a card then not delivering goods is fraud. I asked for refund but as of yet haven’t received any correspondence or refund. Be careful with your money!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm very surprised at the number of negative reviews. We have been remote bidding through Kastner Auctions for almost 2 years now. We've only had a problem a couple of times, with items being missing from our shipment. These issues were resolved once we contacted Kastner (they found the items and shipped them right away). We've found that they ship items quickly, and take good care to wrap delicate items. Like any online auction, I zoom in on the pictures so I can get a really good look at what I'm bidding on. Lots of times, I decide not to bid because there's flaws or damage to an item. As with any auction, it's also a good idea to be informed of the value of items before bidding - some lots in their auctions go for so much more than they are worth for some reason. One small issue I have is that they put the auction sticker in the worst places sometimes (for example, on the front of a purse or piece of artwork... the glue from the sticker is so hard to get off). If Kastner is reading this, maybe put a bit of painter's tape under the auction stickers so it's easier to remove and doesn't damage the item.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The auction was great and good experience however the customer service experience was not too great. It's like they are forcing the guys here to work here.
Also, I will advice anyone that wants to auction to make sure the view the quality of the goods in store first before putting in your offer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve purchased through Kastner’s a few times. Yesterday I was in to pick up some items. Never seen such lifeless people in the back of a warehouse. Such a rude bunch and they have the audacity to knock your glassware around at the pickup table. Definitely have to give this place another thought.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I noticed kastner using alot of stock photos recently saying new/refurbished items ....if it's refurbished or repackaged it's not new. I see people over pay for dollar store items so always good to check retail cost before bidding. Also employees can bid on items, so makes me wonder how many just bid to make you pay more. You can occasionally find a deal but always see items in person, I find the photos can be very misleading.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From fake jewelry, computers without hard drives, misrepresent products, broken and inoperable products, the list goes on; I’ve been burnt in EVERY auction I have bid in regardless of how cautious I feel I’m being!

Please note, items listed as follows have been inspected by a Jeweller and determined to be something other than that which was represented
Lot 2395 EMERALD ENGAGEMENT RING (is costume jewelry)
Lot 3071 AUSTRALIAN DOUBLET OPAL, READY FOR SETTING. JEWELLERY ( is composed of resin and flake, it is not an opal)
Lot 3658 100 MILS .999 FINE GOLD CLAD 1oz BUFFALO BAR ( was worded in a deceptive manor)
Lot 3374 1965 SILVER CHURCHILL COMMEMORATIVE ( not of a silver content to which “silver” should be in description)
Lot 3079 AUSTRALIAN TRIPLATE OPAL PENDANT ON 18" SNAKE CHAIN (not an opal, Jeweller unable to determine actual composition, setting and chain description was accurate)
I hope you are able to better ensure the accuracy with which items are presented as a result of this message.
It leaves me weary to proceed with purchases moving forward given this is not my first time being “burnt”

As a place that sells thousands of items weekly, there’s bound to be mistakes we are all human, but there’s always the offer to make it right & the staff are all so friendly and helpful even when mistakes happen! I enjoy popping online weekly to see the goodies & when I’ve had to have my purchases shipped - it’s very prompt ! Thanks for being awesome
