★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down, my favourite restaurant of all time. Great prices, for great portions of deliciousness. I religiously order the Greek souvlaki dinner, and recommend you try it! Oh, and the gravy is phenomenal.
When I lived in Peterborough, I would drive 45 minutes there and back just for their food. ??♀️?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tonight I decided to visit this restaurant as we always saw this place since recently moving to port hope. Was not aware that their was two different restaurants inside. We sat in the more “up scale” side of the restaurant but there was no children’s meals on the menu. ( we came with two adults and two children ) the waitress assured us it would be fine to have the lower end restaurants menu be ordered. Upon ordering drinks and looking at the second menu, it as more suited for us to order from the second menu. A different waitress came after and stated to us that we must move to the bottom restaurant as we could not sit where we were if ordering from the other menu. This was of course a nuisance with two children but was not a big deal. Once seated at the other table we were not seen for fifteen minutes abs decided to leave. You would think after being told to move that we would have been taken care of immediately. Will not be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality isn't what it once was here. 4 of us went the other night and had steak dinners. To begin with, the server didn't appear to know the menu well. When the food came out, the steak was only luke warm, the vegetables were cold and only the potatoes were hot (that goes for all 4 dinners). The quality of the steaks was not great, mine was very chewy and the mushrooms / red wine sauce wasn't very good. Also, they only give you 3 shrimps if you order them on the side. The garlic mashed potatoes were the only hit. The baby reds appeared deep fried and were very over done. We will not be back unfortunately. We used to love this place.

Good food at a fair price...what more can you ask for.
Kim won today's "best choice" battle with the chicken sandwich. A juicy chicken breast?!? What kind of culinary magic is that?
My burger was decent and my fries were made to my extra crispy request.
When talking to our server, I was assured that the patties were made in house and fresh. That said, the patty reminded me of a "Bear paw" burger from Cardinal. Anyone who's had one of those grilled correctly will know that's not bad.
Great Béarnaise sauce on the burger too.
We're going to try the Railside again...and that's where I'll leave it for now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is in a great location, not far from the highway. I've been there twice and always was pleased with food and nice, welcoming staff. Best home fries ever!
The only suggestion I'd like to make, please add a non-pork substitute for bacon!

The mango sauce on my salmon was too sweet for my taste,and I found the rice pilaf kind of bland.
I have eaten here a few times. The other times food was very good. My husband's prime rib was also good.
Just not the right pick for me that night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for late lunch was empty we have eaten here before and liked it did not enjoy the food this time we had spegettii and meat balls and burger fries burger was ok dry i think a frozen patty fries were good spegettii was ok meatballs were terrible frozen overcooked tasteless will be a while before we return staff was great ?
