L	L Rain on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yummy, yummy dinner. We'll be back. Firstly, the staff here are so great! Christina was our server. She was knowledgeable, patient with our many questions, helpful with suggestions & more. Chef Ray... you know food!!! Every single item was Delicious (capital D)! We had the couples dinner $40 each, with 1 appetizer, 2 entrees & 2 desserts. It was so much food! We were stuffed... but couldn't stop because, truly, everything was so yummy. Chorizo poutine, tenderloin with potatoes, and scallops with risotto. I can't say it enough ... everything was Delicious! We were in the vault room... very private. Perfect as there for a special occasion. Thanks for booking the room for us Elise! Can't wait for our next Port Hope trip so we can return to this hotel & restaurant.

This is our go-to spot for out of town food and drink, for many special occasions. Made a reservation with ease. Friendly staff and great service. But the food is what will keep us coming back for more!

The food was excellent and well paced throughout the event, the cocktails were fabulous and the waitstaff couldn't have been more helpful. The staff went above and beyond throughout the whole event. I would definitely plan on hosting another event at the Carlyle Restaurant.

The only downside is the poor communication. Three times I emailed them and waited several days for a response. I called them to inquire about the time of my dinner reservation and they never returned my call. They never sent me a confirmation number for my room reservation, I had to request one. And I have the hotel/dinner charges on my credit card but was never provided an itemized receipt; actually no receipt of any kind. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and put it down to COVID. Would still recommend staying here, it’s that nice.

Highly recommend you reserve dinner on their restaurant patio. The ambience was lovely and the food was DELICIOUS! We will definitely be returning again.

They were comfortable and decorated beautifully. The claw foot tub in room #10 was such a delight. We would highly recommend a stay. It was easy to walk all over town from their location.

Due to covid hours the restaurant was not open, but it's location is excellent and there were food options nearby. My daughter is an IT fan, so we chose Port Hope as a destination and did the online self guided IT walking tour, which of course the hotel was included as a stop. We would go back for sure. Staff was helpful and it had a warm inviting feel.
