β β β β β This bakery has an amazing choice of baked goods including croissants, scones, baguettes , and sourdough. They have their own source for grain which they grind themselves.
One can order ahead. The tastes are amazing. A great change from the cardboard textures and flavors from most industrial bakeries.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
The sourdough is especially amazing and a good find for those on special diets.

β β β β β After working and school me and the boys decided to seek our fortune in pastry, we traveled across town to discover what new flavors we could introduce to our thriving pallets, to our surprise the night Oven was sitting in the corner. We only had half an hour to make our way before it was closed. the thought ran through my mind why would it be called night oven bakery when it's closed at night. Probably because they do all the baking at night I think I'm happy with that answer. Inside we were greeted with a friendly smiley face and we tried a delicious new French pastry.

β β β β β Iβve been a customer for quite a few years with little to no problems, but unfortunately it seems the croissants have gone down hill. My pain au chocolat today was pretty dense and almost bready; not the usual tasty and flakey croissant iβm used to:(

β β β β β The bread from here takes me back to my childhood. Nothing can beat their bread, pastries and lattes. When I retire I want to work here part time to learn the art they've mastered! Best sourdough ever.

β β β β β The Night Oven Bakery is considered one of the city's staples for baking. If it isn't, it should be. Loaves are a bit more expensive than your grocery store loaves, but the quality also matches the price. The flour is stone milled in-house, breads are sourdough leavened without the use of commercial yeasts and baked in a wood-fired oven, pastries are whole grain, everything is delicious. The wheat milled for flour is all grown in Saskatchewan. If there ever was a local bakery/patisserie, this is it. Even the wood-fired oven was hand-built by Bryn. This is a business that will be here for years to come. So you may as well eat good food for those years.

β β β β β Really enjoy this Bakery and everything Iβve tried has been wonderful. However, I feel the need to mention an interesting (maybe) coincidence. Each time I come in, regardless of who is working the till, they make a point of giving me the smallest, least appetizing piece of the item/items I order. Iβve been here 10-15 times and itβs happened every time. I feel like this is something to be mentioned. I donβt know if itβs because I clearly am a city worker and wear high visibility clothing in.. definitely have contemplated not going because of this.

β β β β β Swung by this place recently and the products were delicious! Everything is made in-house and are priced competitively. The location is behind SGIβs main office on 2nd so it could be hidden but nothing that the GPs canβt solve. I ordered a few assorted pastries and will definitely be back!
