About Collector's Choice Art Gallery
Murray Gruza
Murray was born and raised in Saskatoon and is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He initially worked as a display person in retail and spent 7 years in educational television, working in various capacities as cameraman, set builder, lighting director, and director. In 1979, he accepted a new opportunity and became a partner in the new gallery, Collector’s Choice Art Gallery. In July of 1980 he became the manager and full time employee of the gallery. He and Lissa eventually became sole owners of Collector’s Choice, and continued to expand the business, travelling to seminars, courses, and workshops throughout Canada and the United States. Over 39 years, until March 31, 2018, Murray took pride in finding the right solution for his clients’ art and framing needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This art gallery is atrocious. I give them a one star review. They agreed to pack and ship an old German painting that belonged to my dad before he died. The painting was an original and it was almost 60 years old. This was the one item from the entire estate that my elderly mother requested be sent to her. While staff were packaging the painting, an item fell from a shelf above and put a tear near the center of the painting. Staff were apologetic. They agreed to repair the painting and then ship it. Despite repeated phone contact by me with gallery management over a period of many months, I have never received the painting. Management has simply stopped contacting me. It is now almost two years later, and my mother is still asking for her painting. I don’t know what to tell her. The initial damage was an accident, but the lack of accountability from this art gallery is unforgivable.

While I waited around, I looked at all the art on the walls and of course one caught my eye. It's a Michael lonechild original titled " need new sleigh runners". People my age would know what sleigh runners are. Overall this is a great place to buy prints and originals also to bring in your paintings to get framed...
