I’m only giving this place 2 stars because Darren was great help. But the Preverco product is just garbage. Less than 3 months in the house and we have a dozen chips/tears that it’s a miracle we haven’t cut ourselves yet. If you’re thinking preverco make sure you also buy a ton of wood filler. Very disappointed in the product. Premium price but a garbage product.

Summary: We felt we were deceived and upsold. I understand that they may respond by saying that they had no control over what happened. However, please keep in mind that we made a decision to spend more based on their word. When they failed to live up to their word, they offered no compensation when asked. We were promised a premium product but received a product that was flimsy and brittle. Preverco offers samples that are of high quality but deliver a product that is of significantly lower quality. Whole Story: As you can tell from the rating, we had a very bad experience. I will try to be as factual as possible to try to inform you (potential customer) the best that I can. On Aug 13, we walked into the Hardwood Flooring Store and was greeted by a salesperson (I will leave the name out because I don't want this to be personal). We were looking for Mercier Floor but was told that they no longer sold that. We were directed to other brands and given a few options. We explicitly told him that we needed something in 5 weeks (mid Sept). He told us that several of the options would require 6-8 weeks for delivery and so we no longer considered them. He directed us to Preverco White Oak Raw (the salesperson said these were better than Mercier). It was pricier than the other options, but we were told it would arrive in 3-4 weeks (ahead of our timeline). Though we were hesitant because of the price, we were told it was a premium product. We were even given a sample and saw that it was good. In the end, we decided to pay the extra (>$1/sqft) because we needed the floors by a certain date. Fast forward 3 weeks, I called them and we are told that there is no timeline for our floors. I reiterated that we need them in 2 week and they said that that will not happen. I reminded them that we chose this specific floor because of our timeline. I expressed that I cannot help but think that I was upsold on an empty promise. He assured me that wasn’t the case and that I would get a premium product soon. I asked if there is anything they could do to compensate for the delays and they said no. I kept calling weekly and received the same message: there was no timeline and there was nothing they could do. Worse still, we were unable to go to another store because our order was ‘in queue’ and so we would not get our deposit back. Finally, at the 7-week mark, I got a hold of a manager and I was told that they would arrive the following week. For those of you still reading and keeping score, that is the original 8-week timeline of the other floors that were cheaper. Our contractors finally picked up the hardwood floors on and the product was nothing like the sample. While the sample was sturdy, the actual floors were brittle and flimsy. The bottom pieces (Engineered hardwood) kept breaking off. The floors themselves snapped. Please keep in mind, these are the same installers that installed our old Mercier hardwood floors and while he complimented us on those floors, his comment about the Preverco flooring was that in all his years installing hardwood, he had never installed flooring that was such low quality. (These men have 20+ years of experience in the industry). The floors were so brittle and were breaking at such an alarming rate that we needed to order MORE HARDWOOD to finish our job. In total, we ordered almost 2000sqft to finish a job that was ~1700sqft. Overall, it was an incredibly negative experience with Preverco and The Hardwood Flooring Stores. We do not recommend either to anyone.

The sales(not a Asian guy) are very hard to talk, they keep talking “ We don’t sale Asian product, that’s cheap!!!” I was looking for a brand of engineer floor, this sales guy doesn’t know that, and then he just think about the Brand from Asia, and let me go. Terrible service ever!

Darren - HFS manager - absolutely the best. WORK WITH HIM!!!! HFS - installers - Tom, Andrew and Jacques - AMAZING! Such phenomenal attention to detail. Did a PERFECT - truly perfect job installing our flooring. Preverco Flooring Manufacture - created a custom color for me - nailed it! So exciting. The whole experience. Everything was fantastic. WE LOVE OUR FLOORING!

NEVER give this group of inexperienced, lazy and rude people your business 1. Their customer service is nonexistent 2. Their work is sloppy and LEFT UNFINISHED A friend of mine contacted them for flooring to be installed in their condo. Nick left them hanging with an unfinished section in their living room. He did a sloppy job and then decided to completely ignore my friend and her family! The dishonesty cannot be trusted and should not be trusted in any home! Read the reviews on the page before ever contacting them.

Disgusted in their customer service. I went to this flooring company last week looking for Vinyl plank flooring! The woman at the front desk was EXTREMELY RUDE, and not helpful at all. Then she told me she would go get “John” to help me. After hearing them laughing “John” came into the show room and told me that what I was looking for didn’t exist (which it does, and I purchased from a great company, afterwards) and I should do my homework before wasting “his” time looking for flooring!!! Not only is their customer service disgustingly rude, there prices are ridiculously high!!!!!

The worst place to get floors & baseboard done! Their installer “Andriy” & his "sidekick" are the worst! They're unprofessional, do a horrible job & should not be trusted to do his job! They will also leave & not finish their job... but want to be paid! They talk about politics, religion & other topics that should not be talked about... especially to clients! Nick (sales person) is initially kind & will promise you the world... before payment… after you pay, there’s no service after the sale & he does not care how the job is done or if you’re satisfied! Do yourself a favor, save yourself the hassle & stay away from this company!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. My experience here has been horrible. Do yourself a favor and find another store. They are nice and promise you the world until they get your money. Then it's all "I never said that" or they simply don't care. It has been about 4 months since we got our floors installed and since we noticed the holes. Yet NO ONE has done anything about it. Nick NEVER returns our calls or keeps his word. He came to our house to see the floor and pretended to measure stuff, walked around and agreed that the holes were not normal. He said he would talk to his manager to come up with a solution. Guess what? He never got back to us and he never spoke to any manager! After we contacted him AGAIN. He sent another person to look at the floor. He clearly said the holes couldn't have been made by us because they are too wide. Now this store is blaming us for the holes saying we stepped on the floor too early. HUH?!?!?! This mistake was clearly on their end and they don't have the guts to accept it! They say they have 35yr warranty and when we asked for it he said it doesn't cover this? WHAT!? They have zero regard for customers and our money. We feel lied to and robbed!!!! We didn't pull 7k out of nowhere. What kind of customer service is this? Nick told us he won't do anything and that we need to figure it out ourselves! DO NOT GO HERE.
