We recently got our engineered hardwood done with HP flooring (both material and installation). It was an excellent experience. Pricing was better than competitors. We were initially going with laminate in the second floor but changed our mind after the product was already delivered. HP took all the boxes back and brought in engineered wood instead. The installation was excellent. Very hard working crew - finished as promised (working 12 hours shift until 9 PM to complete on last day). Supervisor and Manager checked in regularly to ensure things were being complete on time. Very good experience - would highly recommend to everyone!

I would never recommend buying HP flooring, its a diaster. Customer service is terrible. The solid wood hardwood floor sample looks great, very smooth and consistent pattern, 8 feet long. So, We bought the select and better wire brushed hardwood floor from HP flooring, the products came with uneven stain, black strips on many pieces. The product also has tongue and grove issue, the first shipment does not work well with the 2nd shipment, as the surface are not even when put two boards together. The shop owner react quickly, he showed up and admit the slot issue, So they took the 2nd shipment back, and send another shipment. When the 3rd shipment arrived, we took a few pieces out and tested it out, the tongue and grove matches with the 1st shipment. The surface are smooth and even when you put them together. At the time, I was happy with the service I received with the shop, and I was confident there should not be any more issues. Unfortunately, When the floor have been installed, we discovered the uneven surface again, this tells me the products are having serious issues, the quality in the box are not the same, Tongue and grove and not the same even within the same shipment. Also, we noticed black strips on the surface of the boards, many of them. This is unusual, I also send the picture to my builder friends, they never had such issue before. I have been in construction and real estate development for over 15 years, I have not seen this in my career. So we contacted the shop, they contacted the manufactur. The big boss showed up, told me this is normal, I should expect this from hardwood floor. Well, to be honest, I choose HP flooring simply because it is made in Canada and it’s made locally. But, this product really disappoints me. HP flooring is offering a box of hardwood floor for me to replace the ones with issues, and I have to get my guy fix it. By going through all this, I conclude that the Hardwood Planet product we bought has serious issue, so does the manufacture customer service. If you are buying HP flooring products, be prepared for this. I have nothing to against the shop, but totally disappointed by Hardwood Planet, I would never buy anything from this brand.

I hired HP Flooring to replace the carpet with hardwood for my bedrooms and they're amazing! Very knowledgeable and professional team with impressive service. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for flooring company!

HP has a very good customer services. Tina was helping me and she provided professional service. I ordered 1100 SQF dark color engineered solid wood floor then I changed my mind to solid wood floor. However I could not find a satisfied color from the solid wood floor selections, Tina suggested me to go to other stores and refunded the full amount of deposit without hesitation.

Very pleased with the results. The floors looks good and it was installed quickly. We had our previous laminate flooring removed as well which was also done quickly. All in all, everything was done in a day even though we live in a condo and there were many elevator trips. Our only issue was the dust that went all over from the cutting of the laminate and removing our old ones, wish we were more prepared for that.
