Where should I start? I arrived at 10 am. This was my first time visiting this Salon. I got a very pleasant greeting as soon as I walked in. Offered to take off my jacket and some tea/coffee. So Far Good. Then I had a small consult with my stylist who is a student in training with 1 year studies and experience according to the words online "Academy services are performed by qualified, salon-ready, student-stylists who have completed our 1 year program". I began by showing images of hair colour and styles I like she excused herself to consult a SR stylist. They both came back and told me that we could accomplish a similar Carmel blonde colour in a highlight form and then to get the look in picture I would require multiple visits to achieve this look (5 visits as Theresa, owner of Salon Mentioned to me as she toned down the colour on behalf of my stylist). I was just looking for larger highlights so that it would look more natural rather than uniformed. I asked for long layers. I get One level layer and very unbalance and uneven (as Theresa, the owner agreed). Very simple request achieved several times by students, JR, SR what ever the title given on me before in other salons. I felt ambushed by stylists, Manager trying to make me feel that I was wrong and they were right. That I wasn't clear. NO THEY WEREN'T CLEAR. After the mess they left on my hair they kept trying to justify what was being done looked great. That I needed to sleep on it. Saying that the Student made a mistake in the hair cut and that it is fixable with more time. Me, being there from 10 am to 3:15 pm I was in no mood with a horrible hair cut and colour sticking around to be put down , feeling like garbage already by the two person tag team the SR stylist and manager. They used the excused that I didn't have time to fix it. NO my kids who are in march break camp come first and I had to pick them up SORRY that I have better things in life to do then hang out there. The BEST PART OF THIS ENTIRE DAY WAS a male stylist coming to the basin where I was waiting for someone to fix my toner. He gave the BEST HEAD MESSAGE EVER :) TY for showing me sunshine at the end of a horrible and very dark tunnel. The Solution to ALL this offered was for me to return Friday and PAY for a higher level stylist to cut my hair. Then to return in a few weeks after my vacation to PAY to recolour my hair with lowlights of browns to get the Look I wanted to achieve. Final words: My hair is a mess, I will not pay to get it fixed. I hope when it grows all out I will be able to give a fair chance to another Salon to get it fixed. I was hoping to be happy and find "the one" in your salon today. But this was not the case. To others considering this Salon. DO NOT GO With a Student as this was the overall message. Get a JR OR SR Stylists as on the reviews left here is the ONLY right way to avoid " Hair BREAK :( "

Great place, friendly and professional staff. Very welcoming, clean and always try to accommodate my schedule. Left my old hair dresser and never looked back after trying the hair company :)

Katie is the best stylist and is the only stylist I trust to do my hair, from blue to blonde and now red! She always does an amazing job and I always get compliments on my hair. Would highly recommend seeing Katie and the team at the Hair Company!

This salon has been my go to for well over 12 years. I have never had a bad experience thanks to the amazing staff. They are wonderful and do everything they can to make sure your happy. They are so professional and work to achieve what is best for you. My go to girl was Henna who is now off for a bit but I loved her and her fun, kind personality. I'm now seeing Katie and she is just as amazing, she is open, friendly and so much fun. She knows her stuff so well and I came out after correcting colour I had done during covid lockdowns looking 100% better and feeling better (from blue to blonde). It was amazing what she acheieved in one visit, my hair even felt better after leaving than coming in. I recommend this place to everyone. The staff, the professionalism, the knowledge, the energy, the experience in general make it the best bet for a fun, relaxing and beautifying time. If you don't trust your stylist then I recommend trusting the staff at this salon, you will leave happy.

Always an outstanding experience at the Hair Company! Booking is easy, the staff are friendly and a great head massage every time! Katie has been curating the perfect blonde for me for 10 years now - I have sent her 30 clients who all have stayed loyally as well. Katie puts the condition of the hair first, but still does what is needed to ensure the clients satisfaction - I always have the perfect winter white, but if we need to space appointments to prevent breakage, she ensures that we do what it takes and manages my expectation. Katie is friendly, personable and professional. I always leave feeling so much happier - she never misses a beat. I recommend her without hesitation to anyone and everyone. They are so much more than highly recommended.

I have been in search of a new hairstylist since mine has moved and I could not be happier with Lauren. I did not think I would be able to find someone even better and she went above and beyond my expectations. I am so pleased with how the color and style turned out. I have received so many compliments since I got it done. This is the happiest I have been with my hair and I cannot wait to go back. She was so kind and personable. Katie is a senior stylist at The Hair Company and feels like a member of the family, both myself and my sister have had the pleasure to work with her multiple times and have never been disappointed. Lauren is my current stylist, I have been able to watch her journey at The Hair Company and she is truly the best. Any vision I have had, she has helped me to create with sheer confidence, and is truly a wonderful stylist. The owner, Theresa has given nothing but the utmost care and personalization to my experience and always goes above and beyond , I greatly value that level of hospitality. The Hair Company has given me nothing but exceptional service since I have been coming to them for over 12+ years, and will continue to go to them for my years to come. No other salon has really every compared, my family and I will continue to recommend their services to anyone looking for the best service in the GTA!

This is my second time having Lauren do my hair and I'm hooked!! The staff are so friendly and Lauren nailed my cut and colour both times!! I thought I would never find another stylist as good as the one I had before he moved away but I've actually found someone better!! The salon itself is fantastic and I've never had a sink more comfortable to have my hair washed in and love that they stand behind you to wash instead of over you. Truly the best salon and stylist I've ever had - thanks Lauren!!!
