★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shopped here a few times since change of ownership. Excellent customer service, - selection a plenty of English products - Although some items are sometimes not available, staff will do their best to get the product in for you.
Staff are great, when I’ve pre-ordered groceries and baked goods in advance - order is always put aside ready for collection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since new owners have taken over I seldom go here anymore. It’s a cold sterile makeover and has none of charm and character the old store had ——certainly lacking the friendliness too. No one ever seems happy always gloomy. The only thing they seem to pride themselves on is their new bakery supplier being award winning in Niagara in The lake. Prices have gone up and service and friendliness need to be address ——better luck at other local British shop in Newmarket ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love it here. The shop is run by the daughter but I've seen the father out in the community at some of the local British pubs. I really enjoy going to pubs in the UK and it has always surprised me how some the most important and distinctive features of a British pub seem to get misplaced when a British pub opens its doors in Canada. I've been to a British pub in Italy that was more authentic than the ones in Canada, and Canada has a significantly higher British ex-pat population than Italy. I would love it if British Imports expanded into becoming a supplier of British goods to nearby British pubs. It would help our community celebrate British culture, and it may help drive a profitable new revenue stream for this shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great wee shop in "old" Newmarket. It is much smaller than the British stores, that I am used to, but they had everything I wanted, from potato scones, meat pies, to Christmas selection boxes.I just wish they carried some, British memorabilia.
The store was clean, had an, antique charm, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
I recommend this store if you need your British, food fix, I will be back.
