Thank you to Alisha for an incredible job on my hair. She took the time to get results that were beyond my imagination and I looked gorgeous for our staff holiday party. 5 hours from start to finish, Alisha was so kind, explained everything to me clearly and asked for my input. I absolutely love Marilyn and the students. So fun and REAL! Not pretentious like other some other places I've been to. She is a great teacher and no b.s. there. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to get a good education and an awesome 'do.

I went in to get my shoulder length hair dyed. I asked for brown to blonde ombre. My hair is not the healthiest so I asked if it would be damaged by the dye and I was told that their dyes don't damage at all and that they actually make the hair stronger. When the student was styling my hair after it was dyed she stopped blow drying it because she "didn't want it to break". Once she finished, my hair was not at all ombre - it was just one shade of brown. I didn't really care because the colour wasn't bad, but they still charged me $130 for my shoulder length hair to be dyed one shade. I paid and left the salon with my hair still damp. The next day I noticed what the student meant when she said she didn't want to break my hair. My hair at the crown of my head was broken off and about 1.5 inches long. I went back to the salon in tears to ask for a refund and all the owner offered me was a bottle of hair serum claiming that all their customers are taking a risk because the students aren't yet certified. I understand that completely, but why should I have to pay for their mistakes? The student who did my hair would not even look at me, let alone apologize. When the owner Marilyn gave me the hair serum she made a point to show me the price tag of $27, as if thats anything close to what they pay. The serum was also discounted at the time. Marilyn also told me that they should have sent me away when I walked in the first time because my hair was not healthy enough to be dyed, even though I was told that the dye does not damage hair. Moral of the story, if you do take a chance and go to this salon inspect your hair before you pay because they have zero sense of customer service and will not give out refunds.

Wow. Where to begin? I don't even know. But here, let's start off at 10am, when I walked into Visions Hair today, happily greeted by their team, and offered a fresh cup of coffee, tea or espresso. We started our day off early, with an awful (let me tell you: AWFUL) Red Dye mess in my hair, all damaged and horrified that I may not be able to do anything about it. Prior to today, I had asked several different salons around the Newmarket and Mainstreet area for consultations and availabilities, but none other than Visions were able to assist me at any time soon. So grateful though, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. This morning I met two of their lovely students: Dylan and Cristina, and the kindest of all, the owner (or teacher/manager) Marilyn, with whom I spent the next five hours learning about each other, talking, joking, laughing, and not to forget, singing! It made the process of repairing, colour correcting, and highlighting my hair so much more intimate and amusing, that we actually forgot how fast the time went by. All day, we made inside jokes about how they wouldn't let me peak at my hair until the very end, and kept building the anticipation by telling me how impressed/excited they were with the results - and even getting other visitors/customers in on our little gags. I have literally never had a more amusing time at a salon, in my life. As for the results. My goodness. I really don't know where to start. When I tell you that I had a Red Mess in my hair, it is NOT an understatement. I thought it was unrepairable, that the damage was irreversible; and good Lord, did I have this uneven Black/Red Zebra-looking head. Half my head was black, the rest was cherry red. It had a fried/frizzy look to it, so much that I honestly couldn't even stand to look at myself. So, who would have thought, that after only half a day with their team, I would have such gorgeous, strong light brown hair with stunning highlights and ash blonde tones to it? Let me tell you. THEY ARE MIRACLE WORKERS. So I don't know the depth of anyone's hair story... but if you're looking for a happy ending, or even a plot twist, hahaha (red-to-blonde) - Visions Hair & Esthetics is HANDS DOWN the place to go. Prices were very reasonable considering the time, experience, products and repair they provided for me. Overall, THE BEST hair salon I've ever been to, and that is still an understatement. I even made another appointment two months from now, to go even lighter. Honestly, I'd recommend this place to anyone. Male, female, whatever. The work they can do. The service they provide. To anyone and everyone. I STRONGLY advise that you pick Visions Hair. Unfortunately I didn't have any pictures with the red hair, but take my word for it, it was not photo-worthy, and even these new photos I have of this gorgeous hair don't even compare to what it looks like in person. Visions is the best place to learn as well as getting your hair done! Everyone is extremely friendly and the owner is an amazing person and stylist all work is checked by the owner before the students proceed to anything! Its been a great experience I can assure you will be very happy with the services done here!!!

What a wonderful experience! I couldn't have had a better day! Spent 4 hours with Visions today, and not a minute passed us by without a smile on our face. Such a talented group of students, and kind owner! Fixed my wife's hair after a huge dye disaster, and her hair is stronger now than ever. Will come back soon!

I am currently still a student at Visions Hair and Esthetic Academy, but will be graduating in May . I have to say that I have chose the best school to go to! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. I have had such a good experience and have made so many new friends! The client here are so friendly and always have such a big smile on their face! Marilyn is the best teacher, she is so helpful and always make sure we are on task, I couldn't have asked for a better teacher! I'm sad to leave visions, but I no I will be leaving with all the knowledge and understanding of everything that I have learned. I will definitely miss the laughs and all the memories we have shared! If anybody wants to be a hairdresser, Visions is the place to go !

I looked really hard at many schools before I chose to come to visions and I must say I 100% made the right decision! It is the most amazing school with the most amazing teacher! The knowledge I have learned so far through this program is fantastic! I have also been in to visions to get my hair done and the students are so talented! I was extremely happy with every service. Everyone is extremely friendly and the stylists really take time to talk about your face shape, your skin tones and to decide what style and color is really best for you. I can guarantee that if you choose to come here to enroll in the program or even to get your hair done you will be amazed! Visions is really and truly the most amazing school!
