Our Story

Terry Ortynsky is a man with a vision that is shared with all his associates when it comes to the automotive world: that each of his dealerships is a place in which customers are treated with the utmost respect and professionalism in an atmosphere of warmth, quality, friendliness and fun. Terry and all team members work for a personal relationship with each of the people who come through the doors, and every member of the staff is a representative of Terry’s goal of helping customers.

The focus on developing this relationship transforms the car-buying experience from impersonal to helpful, professional, and pleasant (which puts customers at ease). Terry’s way of treating people makes it easy for people to do business with us. We work hard to make it easy for customers to make their buying decisions, go through the paperwork, and get fast and efficient service.

When our Royal Ford team serves any customer, we strive to be consultants in the decision-making process rather than salespeople. First, we come to understand what motivates the customer’s buying decision, what is he after and why? Next, with our understanding of the inventory, we are able to locate the best possible match between the customer’s desires and our offering. Then the sales associate works with the customer to ensure that he can better understand the decision he is making. Finally, if the person buys a vehicle, the team member makes it easy for him to go through the paperwork. All of this is done without pressure, maneuvering the customer, or any other manipulative sales techniques. Fairness, truth and total professionalism are values that are united with friendship. All who work at the Royal Ford dealership are skilled, accomplished professionals and good neighbours.

Brought my truck in a few times for some work that I don't feel like doing myself and they have always been fast and friendly to get it done. Always have the parts I need or get it overnight. I've also called many times for quotes and they get me the answers I'm looking for, great to have such a good dealership in a small city.

I began shopping for a bigger vehicle as a busy mom of two. The space was extremely limited in my smaller Ford SUV (also purchased from Royal Ford). I began my shopping by looking around and comparing vehicles and prices. Nothing in my and my families opinion beats the Ford line-up in technology and safety when it came down to it. When I initially made my call to John, I told him exactly what I wanted and he came through with the perfect vehicle. The next morning, on Remembrance Day, John called to let me know that I could pick up the vehicle I wanted. I picked it up after he met me on the Holiday. John & Clint worked hard to get my family on the road on the holiday from getting papers ready, to dealing with the Clint in finance, to giving me the absolute best price, (I’ve done my research) on my Explorer Platinum. We are a family of repeat customers and NO ONE beats Royal Ford. (Side note: that 2020 F350 Sport in the back of the photo is also ours and another exceptional purchase right from the test drive with John, to paper signing with Clint)!

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE INDIGENOUS OR A WOMAN YOU ARE NOT WELCOME. I brought my 2013 Ford Escape for repairs on Tuesday, January 25th 2022. From first impressions upon entering the dealership both me and my husband were ignored when we walked in and I myself was ignored at the service counter. There was a salesman beside the front door when I walked in who could have helped me but looked up at me from his phone then looked down again and kept typing. He must prefer not to serve indigenous customers. I did not receive any greeting or service until a woman walked out from the back carrying a folder and guided me to the right place even though service was not her department. I was told later that afternoon on Jan. 25th that my car would take 48 hours to finishing being repaired. I received no contact 48 hours later. I actually did not receive a call until approx. Tuesday, February 1st 2022 telling me that not only is my car not finished repairs, but also that my car was rammed by a tow truck on THEIR parking lot. This is where it gets sketchy and there is a lack of transparency from management. Not only did the Service Manager TELL US NOT TO REPORT IT TO SGI, but apparently "made arrangements with the driver to have all repairs paid for" then why was I, THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE, THE VERY LAST PERSON TO KNOW? I should have been notified as soon as they opened Monday morning. This occurred on the weekend and I was not notified until 2pm on the following TUESDAY! Now they are insisting not to make a claim with SGI which is incredibly sketchy, untrustworthy and borderline criminal behavior! I will be filing an SGI and RCMP report despite their pleas not to, and telling every single indigenous woman I know NOT to do business here as their concerns will not be taken seriously because unless they are paying for a brand new 2022 vehicle they will be treated with disrespect and unaccountability. Not only is my car in worse condition than when I brought it in. I now have to contact SGI, RCMP, Ford's head office as well as the Better Business Bureau. I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE LEAVING MY CAR HERE NOR DO I FEEL WELCOMED TO EVEN ENTER THE DEALERSHIP AS AN INDIGENOUS WOMAN. Take your money elsewhere unless you want your vehicle damaged on their property with not a care in the world from their staff. UPDATE: We were told by Ford Management not to submit an SGI claim as the driver who hit my car already reported it. Well lo and behold I called SGI to submit and found out no claim was made on my car. We were lied to by management. Extremely unprofessional and untrustworthy. I'm glad I listened to my gut and now have all legal documentation necessary. Tried to contact Ford and was hung up on when I asked for some accountability. ONCE AGAIN THEY DO NOT SPEAK TO INDIGENOUS CUSTOMERS NOR DO THEY CARE ABOUT HOW THEY ARE TREATED BY MANAGEMENT.

Called in earlier in the day to get my vehicle booked in for β€œThe Works” and was able to get an appointment the same day. Showed up to my appointment on time, and it was completed in a timely fashion. Their β€œhang out” area is a comfortable space to wait for your vehicle to be done. I nearly fell asleep on one of their comfy chairs. ?

I had been to many dealerships in other cities months prior looking to trade my vehicle for a specific vehicle. I was tempted a few times to make a purchase (they were trying to persuade me to get something I truly didn’t want) but I knew there had to be a better deal with exactly what I wanted out there. With time, I came to Royal Ford. I went in at the beginning of March and was greeted by all employees working there, specifically Page. Page is very friendly and outgoing so he was very easy to do business with. He helped me find exactly what I wanted. Royal Ford gave me a great value for my trade in and I was able to make an awesome deal. I had to wait longer than expected for my vehicle to arrive, but Page was excellent at keeping me updated about it. When my vehicle arrived, Royal Ford made my experience extra special. Thank you Royal Ford and Page for my awesome new vehicle and for the memorable experience.
