★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give this place a zero I definitely would! Too bad it’s not an option!
I don’t understand why all restaurants have a mind of their own. We pay to get a full bowl of rice veggies and meat. They give you maybe a quarter of the meat and chince on the veggies OR the rice. I had to ask last time to cut up the meat into smaller pieces so I had enough to eat my whole meal.
Pretty disappointed since I love teryaki experience but there hasn’t been one place that actually gives you the food that you’ve paid for.
UPDATE: they told me to reach out to them to give more information and so I responded TWICE with the recent experience and of course no experience or feedback to say we are working on fixing our service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited on Sep 2, 2021 around @12:55 pm. The cashier Katrin was very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately she was teamed with a SUPER slow short-tempered short-order cook, who didn't know the menu well, got frustrated and got mad, and got annoyed that I asked for rice instead of noodle, telling Katrin off in front of me that she should never let me substitute noodle with rice. The food wasn't that great, like someone else mentioned on this site, barely any meat, not even that much rice which was soaked with sauce. I paid $28 for 2 miserable meal in 2 carton boxes, with sauce almost soaking through the box. I will never go back again. It was a awful Teriyaki experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lady behind the counter was rude and brash, gentleman was awesome, lady bossing this employee for no good reason... Portion was so small for the price... Can't believe the portion for $16... Save your money go elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing Japanese food. I've been to many upscale Japanese restaurants that charge twice the amount for the same food. I can confidently say that Teriyaki has better food at more reasonable prices. The food here is delicious, healthy, and the facility is very welcoming. I will certainly return when I am in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This will come across as a negative review BUT read it entirely. Lunch was busy and the cook got flustered and made my order wrong 2xs (or gave me the wrong order). The owner/manager was there and he jumped in on the grill to help her out but also clear up the backlog. They MAY have taken my order wrong (?) BUT it was fixed AND they gave me MORE than enough in compensation gift cards! I can honestly say I was OVER compensated! When a business messes up but steps up and fixes it with a bonus, THAT's proper customer service. PS the food was fresh and yummy as always from this location (Dorval Crossing)

I went there myself yesterday just to see if the rumors are true about portions, and let me tell you that they are.
Not only has this location chosen to use cheaper/less ingredients, it has also gone against japenese tradition by sacrificing
quality.
The chicken and veg was not fresh and there was not enough of it. If you are going to use a different container, atleast fill it up all the way.
Save yourself the disappointment and go to the burloak location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’d give 0 star if that’s an option. Meat tastes spoiled. Too much sauce in the bowl. The employee is clueless: don’t know what menu item means, no idea about portions, and eventually made wrong items for my order. I definitely considered throwing this meal into the trash… but I didn’t like wasting food. Warning: do not go there!
