I've been coming to the west end location for years but I have found that the quality of food has been steadily declining while the prices keep increasing ($5.65 for a very simple bubble tea? Very expensive). Tonight I ordered a mini panko salmon rice bowl. Salmon and vegetables were good, but the rice was in massive, dense, clumps. As i put my fork into the rice it came out in two giant "balls" which made eating it both unpleasant and difficult. I don't feel that I returning as I find ordering food is always a gamble...sometimes its good, and sometimes it's awful.

Food tastes fine but comes out really small portion sizes. You would spend even more than a typical japanese restaurant to get the same amount of food. Lady at the counter was pretty rude. She kept making comments that sashimi is not the same as sushi and so it is more expensive. Not sure why she kept indicating that. She hesitated in giving us extra wasabi.

I left a negative review over a year ago because they NEVER have avocados to make their bubble tea. 0/5 times. The owner Thomas finally responded this week saying they have β€œlots of fresh avocado daily” now and to come in and get a free drink. I thought β€œnice!” and deleted the negative review. Just phoned them. Shocker...no avocados ? Margins are pretty great on bubble tea, but only if you sell a few. Even the rude guy on the phone was laughing at their incompetence. Best of luck with your business,Teriyaki Corner. You’re going to need it. *Update* while I appreciate your response, I’m not interested in returning to your restaurant. Maintaining adequate par-levels of stock and having friendly and professional staff are the absolute basics of running a successful restaurant and you aren’t doing either. This was early on a Saturday afternoon, Thomas. Weekends are the days you should be fully stocked and ready to make money.

Cashier quite rude and fish bones in the rolls and sashimi. Food quality exceptionally poor for pricing.

I got a spicy salmon roll last week and requested avocado to be added inside, which was really good, but the pieces of salmon sashimi I ordered was absolutely terribly. Tasted very fishy, not fresh AT ALL! Took a couple of bites of one piece and threw the rest of the sashimi in the garbage. Not sure whether to try this place again...

Their Bento boxes are so cute, fairly customizable and they're vegetarian friendly! Will definitely be going back there for more. They also have some really cool bubble tea flavours

It was a cold day so I ordered from Skip and they quote 85 minutes. Even though they are 5 min from my house and only ordered 2 rolls. The dynamite roll was terrible, the rice was like mashed potatoes, mushy and gross. The ingredients, they cheaped out and only used cucumber as the other ingredients no avacado. Dragon eyes was not bad, but I had a stomach ache for 2 days after I ate it and immediately after I ate it. Red flag when you have mainland Chinese people running a Japanese place, don't order food here. I'm guessing they are so cheap they will never throw out old expired stinky Salmon. They don't care if you get sick, as long as they make a buck off you and not throw out any food.

For a place that opens late and closes early, they seem to be in such a rush to close even earlier. My past experiences have always been great because the employees were very attentive, this includes my experiences from other branches; but my recent visit from this location was disappointing. I ordered the new poke bowl they were advertising and I requested that they add extra raw fish, but I was denied my request, even though I didn’t mind paying extra. The store that day closes at 8:30, I arrived and ordered around 7:30and was told that they were closing soon, I insisted I stayed to enjoy my meal and that I wouldn’t take long because after all I shouldn’t feel the need to rush because they’ll be closing a whole hour later. To come to my surprise the customer service matched the food expectations that day… it was not good. We asked for extra sauce and was told it’s extra. The Poke bowl was very disappointing. It did not look like the advertised picture! Half of the ingredients advertised were not even in the bowl! It didn’t have sesame seeds, seaweed. There was more shredded romaine lettuce than other ingredients, and it really washed out all the dynamic flavours that make a poke bowl. I seriously questioned for a place that sells seafood they can’t even put in the rest of the ingredients they should already have in stock. If you plan to exploit something from another culture, such as a poke bowl that comes from Hawaii and not Japan, have some respect and don’t sell it like how I received it that day. It’s cultural appropriation! The whole time we were eating, we were being stared at by the employees as if they were rushing us to finish, even though they were still receiving skip and mobile orders.
