β β β β β $18.88 strawberries with mold on them. I think customers deserve better quality fruit here. This is not the only box of strawberries that have mold or are rotten. We literally check every box trying to pick something edible but we failed. This is not the first time that T&T try to hide the rotten side of fruit in the boxes

β β β β β A fairly small T&T, couldnβt find everything that I wanted but the produce were very fresh.
Pros: A lot of cool Asian snacks can found be here. Even though the store is smaller, Iβm happy downtowners finally get back a T&T. The Cherry Street location was greatly missed. The hot food section had a lot of variety of Chinese food at an affordable price. If you donβt know what to cook for dinner, grab a hot plate from here. They also serve a buffet style of Chinese food, ranging from $3.99-4.99 a box. The boxes are fairly big so you can stuff a lot in there. However, with the pandemic still going on, not sure if buffets should be allowed. Also, I love how T&T had pre-packaged Chinese soup mix, itβs so easy to make Chinese soup when all the ingredients are provided to you already!
Cons: configuration of the line up to the cashiers is messy. Some older folks kept trying to bud in line because they couldnβt see the line up that led all the way back of the store and it was cumbersome to tell them to move to the back of the line. Also the table for the cashiers to scan things are so small that I had to rush to put things in my bag to make space for more produce to be scanned. Also, most of the staff members did not speak a speck of English so when it comes to finding things around the store, I had to ask 5 different people to find one person that spoke English.

β β β β β Good variety of foods and ingredients but with Loblaws pricing, hence one less star. They also have lots of prepared foods ready to eat sold by weight.

β β β β β Edit (20220423): Seems they reconfigured the checkout area and added a security anti-theft sensor gate at the exit. Likely many thefts and they are trying to stay profitable.
Despite visiting this new store the second weekend since opening, this T & T is still very busy. Not much room inside to physically distance, but everyone inside is wearing a mask. The hot food buffet is nice. Reminds me of Europe or that restaurant Marche or something. Plenty of excellent choices. There is a check in for your personal grocery shopping carts. Probably because there is no room and likely worried people might "forget" they have another item on the bottom of the cart. The lineup to checkout is busy in waves. There is someone there to direct traffic and the self checkout counters have attendants watching to help customers. Daughter selected a pink "piggy" cake, but it looks like a cat to me. Overall, it was nice. Will likely come back again.

β β β β β This is the newest location opened in 2021.
The supermarket is pn the 2nd floor accessible by elevator s and escalators.
On the ground floor, they only have a dining area (see photos).
The supermarket sells items from China, Japan and Korea with very limited number of local items.
They have various fish-tanks offering (live) seafood, food beverages, kitchenware, cosmetics and toiletries.
They also have a variety of ready to eat foods (such as rice wrapped in a leaf) and a buffet offering various good quality and inexpensive Chinese food and some soups.
The attached photos show the buffer abd a good sample of the items for sale in the supermarket.

β β β β β Even though I had a few items on my grocery list, I left with nothing because I didn't want to queue up in the large line up. It's only AFTER you get to exit - you realize that there is a self checkout with no waiting. There needs to be a better system at the check-out line.
The good news is that the produce is fresh and there is a good selection of grocery items.

β β β β β Compressed downtown location of T&T Supermarket. Great alternative location from the original Cherry Beach spot. Still not bad to stop by and grab some snacks to go!
They have the bare necessities and diverse products that still to cover the basic shopping list. The products all look decently displayed. They still have the usual produce, meat, seafood, aisles for packaged goods, home products and hot counter. They still managed to fit in the Chinese BBQ as well. Lots of product to fit in a tiny second floor unit. They also incorporated the main lobby entrance floor with limited seating around 10-15 people if you want to sit and eat.
Wish there was more space to this store location, however still decent for what they've settled with. Limited based on unit space and they've tried really hard to pack a lot in from aisles to fruit and veg to hot foods sections. The navigation and arrangement of this store is a bit more confusing for sure and still tries to mimic the standard T&T layout. The cashier area is very limited and tight. They also have the self-checkout counters hidden closer to the corner as well. During the pandemic times, they have someone monitoring the checkout section so be sure to listen to their directions.

β β β β β Nice location! Lots of selection. Only went in for hot food in the kitchen buffet area, which was pretty good for the price. Food was fresh and looked very appetizing. Staff was friendly and helpful for the checkout process.
There were lots of cleaning supplies and stations equipped with hand sanitizer, which is a good sign. The eating area also has barriers to separate and distance patrons from each other while they dined in. Glad they opened up in this neighbourhood!
