β β β β β Good quality products, little more expensive than chain stores. I'd visit more often if they were open late.

β β β β β Not so fresh definitely wild. Bought cheese from here covered in mold. The birthday cake is so dry it literally crumbles when you cut it

β β β β β I come here every single morning for an iced coffee and a muffin. The woman who works at the cafe is an Angel, I won't mention names but she is probably the reason I keep coming back! She makes my coffee better then any I have had at Starbucks. The store is a great asset too, anytime I need something on the fly or something I can't find at any big box store Fresh and Wild meets my needs.

β β β β β The shop is very small and narrow which makes it a little tight when thereβs multiple people in the aisle. This isnβt somewhere to get your full groceries done, just grab a few items. The products here are very expensive. Itβs $20 for a jar of almond butter. Youβre paying for convenience here.

β β β β β You pay for the convienience of location. Prices are much higher. You are limited to what you can find at a full grocer like Whole Foods, but the organic produce selection looked fresh.

β β β β β My sister and I walked by fresh and wild and decided to get lunch (a chicken salad sandwich). Her sandwich was dry AND had a sharp bone in it. Good thing she didnβt swallow it. I suggest the staff does more quality control for bones in the chicken. Disappointing.

β β β β β A little more on the expensive end for produce but Fresh nβ Wild offers unique items that you canβt find elsewhere in the downtown core. There were a few herbs and spices that I had trouble finding in the big box stores but Fresh nβ Wild had it all (cinnamon sticks, star anise and simple syrup, etc.). Unless youβre lazy or only have one item to pick up, I wouldnβt recommend buying produce/dry food here as itβs what I call a βbankerβs grocery storeβ. Food items are generally overpriced, a box of pasta is $4-$6 where you can get it $3 less if youβre willing to walk 7 more minutes to Sobeys. Maybe rent is expensive, I donβt know. However, I do love buying flower arrangements here, theyβre always so pretty and usually lasts around 10-14 days.

β β β β β Fresh is not the word I would associate with this place. The staff was really nice. The guy who was helping me was new, so I don't expect miracles. He was nice and slow. I got lentil chips that were great. But the store had nothing to do with it. I thought I would try cupcakes. One chocolate one vanilla. Explaining to them I wanted one chocolate and vanilla was painful. I think if I saturated those cupcakes in a cup of water. They would still be extremely dense and dry and hard. Even the cream cheese frosting was dry. And I just don't know how that happens. It was the toughest cupcake I've ever had. I think a well done steak, would be easier to cut through.
