I can honestly say it feels like their mission in trying to transform the way the world learns, making education more accessible and personal, is at the core of how the business is being run and i'm proud I to be a part of it.

Recently joined D2L and it has been an excellent experience. Love being at the forefront of innovation in education and policy discussions about skills and lifelong learning. Culture and people at the company are fantastic.

Last year, I was convinced by a D2L sales representative to try their platform with a great presentation. Ultimately, I found their presentation very appealing and convincing to run our distance learning as well as a complement classroom materials. I received numerous costly quotes and finally we got a very good proposal with unlimited users (liars) so, we took it in consideration. A few months later, we got the contract were they changed unlimited to a max number of users as well the increase amount for the following year was open. Their representative presented the contract in such a different way that everyone was totally convinced up to the extent that no attention to the scam wording that they have in the clause for termination and continuation was noticed. After a year we tried to use it and to realize that the company doesn’t provide the support, and their staff doesn’t have the knowledge required developing a good product. We decided to terminate the contract and these great people have become such an evil nightmare. We started getting bullying and harassment that we must continue because the contract wording mentioned that we can’t terminated in the first year period. During the year the entire team that was assigned to us disappeared including the sales rep. No body notified us of the changes and we spent 2 months trying to chase someone to help us until we communicated with the corporate office and finally got assigned a new team with no knowledge of what’s going on. Expressed concern of the return of the investment, they offered some type of webinars, according with them to train us in the functionality of the platform (Bad the webinars were sales speech called “Creative Service Workshop” and the only solution was that they were able to add the content created by us with a price of almost 60k something exaggerated price as we did a price comparison with at least 15 companies worldwide when tier proposal the most expensive was $7,000 dollars. We went over the contract and communications with them to terminate our relationship with such a deceit company. Our current client sales executive reacted outraged with our decision. In addition, I tried to contact my previous sales guy and I found him working for another company. After I told him all of this he mentioned that my current one was reacting because of 2 things. One is affecting her big commission and two she is experienced sales executive. As well he told me that he left because of the scam that they are selling a lie. D2L is not the owner of the platform they are a distribution company for that reason this product is very expensive as they need to pay to the developers and make a profit for them. None of the team knows really how it works every question from a client always needs to scale to the developers because they do not know it. I did research about the learning platform and we found the same one in India what a surprised and after I found the price we got it was a rip off. My social responsibility is to share with all of you our experience.

So initially I was fan. But the D2L organization did work with me and they were helpless to solve any issues and they wanted just money. Platform can be $80,000 but be prepared for the investment of at least half a million dollars to see if the platform works for you. So my initial review was positive, but because they were lying and pretending to be helpful.
