D	Danny Wallace on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried to call the hotel and the person on the front desk would not answer the phone and let it ring out, as my daughter was in the front lobby and would not acknowledge her as she was talking to someone else, when I called her to see where she was she was in the lobby and told me she heard the other line but just ignored it. As I was trying to book a room for her. When I called back my daughter told me she was off the phone and it still took her along time to answer. The hotel wants full price and is not offering any kind of service no breakfast or pool , I have been staying in super 8 in Alberta and they were offering muffins, fruit yogurt and drinks at the front desk, the staff wore gloves and ust tongs to serve the people staying at their hotels, and lower their rates. It's to bad that they could not do the same in Golden
R	Rhonda Kenning on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Air conditioner not working, sink is in the main room on a carpeted area and it was leaking so bad the carpet was soaked. Asked to be moved to another room. Once resituated, the fridge did not work. Place is so outdated and the owner clearly takes no pride in this place, run down and filthy. They cancelled continental breakfast without notice even though other hotels in the area were still serving. The hot tub was empty. In the morning, the office is closed until 10:00 so if you require any service, you are out of luck. Save your money, this place is gross. Staff were apologetic and polite but shame on that owner for the condition of this establishment. Super 8 should be appalled to put their name on this place
J	J D. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel look is not really attractive from the outside. The receptionist was nice at the check in. We got room 207, it’s not bad but not “super clean”. First, behind the bed its dusty and I also found things from other customers. There is a lot of stains on the bedcovers and also the chair. The air conditioner or “fan” is full of food crumbs. The washroom is not clean either, we decided to got some Clorox wipes to wash the bathtub and the floor .. and the toilet as well! It’s not a bad hotel but I will not book there again, it’s way too overpriced and I didn’t feel the room was cleaned properly.

One light coat of paint, and you could see the dark through the primer? They boast a Complimentary Breakfast online, as well as on their sign out front….but NO..that’s false advertising. They offer NO breakfast at all! The yard is unkempt, and looks like a dump. The weeds are plentiful, and some minimal landscaping is definitely in order. The television screen wasn’t programmed properly, and the aspect ratio was too large for the screen. There was no way to adjust. At $160 for the night, it was a total rip off! Nothing “Super” about this hotel at all!

He was friendly, professional and solved our problem easily. This guy needs to get a raise. Room was clean and did the trick. What you’d expect for $70

J	Jessica Murray on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the first stay in our journey across the country in the winter. We weren't sure how long we were going to drive so we didn't book anything ahead of time. We needed a hotel where we could have our vehicle outside and was pet-friendly. This fit the bill. I wasn't expecting great things based on the reviews I read, but yikes. It was bad. The smell was awful. There was gross staining around the bathroom door casing. The shower was dirty. I didn't want to touch anything, let alone get into the bed. I blame myself for letting my husband persuade me to stay here. I understand that it's not a high-end hotel, but I have stayed at other motels and I know they can be better than this...
B	Brit Barkman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didn’t get our hopes up too much as it is rated 2 stars but we were somewhat pleasantly surprised. When we walked into the lobby, it smelled clean and appeared clean as well, and the customer service seemed professional. The room didn’t have a weird smell, though the fridge smelled a bit musty. The bathroom mirror was also smudged with grease on a few areas, and the light above the mirror was covered in dust as well as the air vents. The bathroom was mostly clean but old-looking, the walls were painted poorly and there was hard water buildup in the shower. The shower handle was broken, though we did find a way to turn it on, and once running, the water was warm but definitely could have been hotter. There was a half used roll of toilet paper in there, and the bathroom towels were the size of big hand towels. Beds were properly made and seemed clean, though there were some stains on the sheets. Good cold AC, which was relatively quiet until half an hour after turning it on, it started vibrating loudly. May require a little kick to stop it. I would say we got what we payed for, which was a reasonable price split between 3 of us. The website and sign for the hotel both say free breakfast, but as other reviewers have also noted, this is false advertising as there is a note in the lobby saying no breakfast. We all slept very well which was all that really mattered to us as being low-maintenance people. Would come here again.
