★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a gem. We had a two-level room, which was nicely private. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was very pleasant and simple, but not wasteful at all. The bed was very comfortable, the room clean and comfortable, and the views are MAGNIFICENT. Common area was incredibly charming and there's a beautiful deck to chill on. Who needs luxury when nature is this luxurious?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely will be coming back this lodge! Booked it on a whim and enjoyed every second of it. Completely exceeded our expectations. Everything was very clean and our whole experience was so personable! Great stay and I will recommend it to anybody in the future!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have proof of mask exemption and the lady at the front desk called me “disgusting” in front of other guest, and wouldn’t honour it.
Absolutely horrible experience and done publicly to try and shame me for a condition I cannot control.
Will never be staying at this base camp again.
And will be filing a violation report.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This lodge is in a perfect location as it is close to the resort and biking / walking distance to downtown for dinner. It has a beautiful back yard space, and the rooms are bright and clean. The host was very friendly and made coffee and fresh baked muffins in the morning. Will definitely be staying here again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall OK, small rooms, couldn't find thermostat. Bed was against the wall, which was awkward. Lots of plugs ins but in strange places.no fridge, tiny shower

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall experience was great! Only criticism is the thin walls, easy to hear others. But the lounge and common areas are beautiful and cozy! A common kitchen for coffee, tea and muffins in the morning was nice!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to come with friends! It is close to the hill too for a weekend trip or midweek.. Nice fire place to hang out in the the lobby and really enjoyed the muffins and coffee this morning! We are happy camper!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Basecamp Lodge Golden is probably my favourite place I've ever stayed. After a tiring day of skiing there is nowhere more relaxing to return to. The pine and rock furnishings along with the fireplace in the common area create a sense of calm I've never found at any other accommodation.
