★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My biggest complaint would be the excessive plastic wrap on everything; even on products already in plastic.
Why bother using compostable bags if your stores are producing tons of other disposable plastic waste?
And of course it is ridiculously over-priced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Soo much to love about this little market. Super fresh quality. Wide variety of pre-packaged meals. Curry Chicken Salad is amazing (along with basically everything they make in house). As a few others noted, priced a bit more then the other guys but you go in knowing that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To be fair, I am assuming people who lives in the neighbourhood are very worthy, so they can afford daily grocery here. Some of the basic items are insanely pricy, as a pack of 6 small avocado costs $5.99 where it’s only $2 - $3 at no frills/ metro. But they do carry some interesting organic item, lots of in house made snacks and a good range of to go packaged meals. Their fresh flowers’ price is also not too high, with also very friendly staffs, I will return when I’m rich. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve bought from summer hill for 15+ years and have had nothing but good things to say. Today however I bought a pack of two summerhill burgers and the second I opened the plastic wrapping off, I noticed a hair on the burger. It was like my hair, it was a short curly hair, so it definitely was not mine. I took it off however and brushed it off. After I cooked it and started eating it I found another one, same type of hair, compacted in the middle of the burger. I could not finish eating it I was so grossed out. I just wanted to make sure everything in the kitchen is sanitary and staff are following standard rules so I can feel comfortable buying food from here again as I must admit I am a extremely grossed out right now.

The sausages and quiche I bought were amazing... but I did find two small metal pieces? in the quiches!
Please make sure your food preppers are looking out for this! (I work at a hospital and foreign bodies that can cause tears in your esophagus and intestines from things like this are not nice to deal with!) :s

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a cute grocery store/market place. My brother introduced me to Summerhill Market this Christmas. It is known for its sauces, fresh fruit, desserts, prepared meals and sides. It is a bit on the expensive side and some items can definitely be purchased elsewhere. Today there were a lot of deliveries happening so the floor was busy with staff. It was good to see the staff pleasantly friendly amongst themselves which shows that they are happy/content with their work environment. I am bit unsure about the inside set up as the center aisles are a bit on the tight side. But hey... it is what it is! All in all I will definitely make my way back again to see what the area has to offer.
Covid has been a pain to say the least... I am pleased and comfortable with the process taken to ensure a safe and positive experience. Thank you?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for the aaToronto Staple in the Rosedale community look no further. This market started off in 1954 and was just a small product market. Since then it has been nothing short of successful elevation after another, including branching out into several markets and high-end shops and stores throughout the GTA.
Walk into the store and you're literally in another, quieter, yet busy world of people, produce, and importanty, local and canadian-made hard to find grocery items placed a around the store.
I can speak to anyone from a cashier to a grocery clerk and have the same HIGHql quality interaction with smiles, suggestions, directions and experienced knowledge on a huge range of subjects associated with both shipping here and healthy living.
They have a massive area of prepared food like no other. You can compare them to other markets in the city, but there is indeed something very very special about being in the original location of Summerhill market on any day of the week.
Yes, they have their own parking lot, free carryout service to your car if you like, and a garden centre, greeting cards and a floral Dept.
I love this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great grocery store that has specialty food. The prepared section has a lot of choices. The store is small, so if you forget something across the store it is just a few quick steps back. They always have a great seasonal display outside of great outdoor decor.
