We went for breakfast, tuna & egg sandwich was fresh and delicious. Overall, it was comfortable and loved the place.

They were my favourite bakery in the city and I still love their products. However I was very disappointed in how they responded to a missing delivery recently hence the 1 star. I’ll still recommend them if buying in person but do not recommend getting deliveries for now. I will be shopping elsewhere for now. Edit: response to below - I spoke to my building. I was told the driver lied and said I had been contacted / notified and that I would be coming down to pick the cake in 30mins. I was never contacted. The driver also did not wish to take the elevator. The building does not normally accept perishable goods but in this case unfortunately they believed the driver. The 1 star review is for the delivery service / process and my extreme dissatisfaction with this whole ordeal, including how Rahier chose to respond. As noted I won’t be buying from Rahier anymore but I do hope the delivery service and customer service is improved.

I was very impressed. I ordered a St. HonorΓ© cake for next-day pickup for my wife's birthday. They told me the cake would be ready by 10 a.m. I showed up at 10:30 the next morning and it was waiting for me. The staff was very friendly. I saw their selection of breads and ordered a white loaf. It was really good...very flavorful. However, the St. HonorΓ© cake was on another level. It was excellent. On top of the overall great flavour of the cake, what I liked most was that it wasn't overly sweet. It was just slightly sweet - a perfect balance. The pastry chefs there really know what they're doing.

Impressive display of modern pastries but wasn't happy with the service. Ordered a gΓ’teau basque which was hollow inside. Very dissapointing. Asked for 2 iced coffees: 1 with sugar and 1 without. The server gave us both with sugar. The almond croissants could have been better. Would have loved if they had an option to warm it up but the servers didnt seem to care much so didnt want to bother them. Also bought the Feuille d'Automne which was a pleasant surprise after a series of dissapointment.

We picked up a variety of croissants and danishes ( regular, almond, pistachio) as well as an apple turnover. Overall the taste was okay. In the past a couples of years ago I found that the same pastries had more flavour and nuances that attracted my taste buds more. Next time I have a craving for French pastries will try again and see if Rahier can live up to my past experiences.

Dropped in last week to get a cake last minute as my kitchen scale ran out of battery. Walked up and down Bayview and found Rahier to have the perfect chocolate cake at the perfect size, exactly how I wanted it. The store staff was very patient at explaining the different layers of ingredients in the cake, thank you. What’s better? The dark chocolate cake was incredible; it’s creamy rich, while not overly sweet like many other store bought cakes. My son was super happy with the cake and said it’s fortunate that mommy’s kitchen scale broke (rightfully so). We will definitely go back for more!

My favourite place for cakes and pastries in Toronto! Prices are very reasonable. Their cakes are absolutely delicious.

I had Rahier on my list to visit for some time and had the opportunity recently. I have mixed feelings on the visit. The items were good. The madeleine and cappuccino that I had were tasty but not the premium quality I expected given the reviews on G Maps. The pastry items (as agreed on by my friend) were good. However, the drinks are massively overrated. I would recommend passing on the cappuccino as it tastes flat and less quality than say a Sbucks cappuccino, which are standard comparison points. For a coconut filled pastry and my small cappuccino (small cup half full) I paid 7.56, for comparison. It's competitive for the area but the taste is only okay. I would recommend a visit if in the area but it is not a top selection for either french pastries or coffee drinks.
