It’s a very small place. But fast and efficient. The young Indian guy who took my order was pleasant. The rice is decent. Adding gravy is a good touch. Fried chicken is pretty decent. Would taste even better if it was cooked to order but I understand. Coleslaw is not good. It’s just dry cabbage and carrots with no dressing. I’ll be back to try the jerk pork.

Grabbed a jerk pork and quarter chicken dinner and a couple patties for dinner. Great food, good value, and lots of variety.

Had the Jerk Pork sandwich and two patties. The sandwich was delicious. The bun was soft, pork was tender, and the char was just right. Patties are the best I've had in a long time. Great light dough, and the spice was bang on..I will be back

Sorry ... I need to change my review, I went there this evening, and asked about 1/2 jerk chicken , 1/2 BBQ chicken and rice with gravy .. and told them not chopping the chickens but the guy wanted to give me a thighs and calves but I said I told you half chicken each... then he he gave me 2 thighs and calves BBQ , and Jerk chicken which he chopped it so I don't know what was that ... jerk chicken was just hot not tasty , BBQ chicken was too sweet and rice was ... eh , it's sad cause they're close to me and I loved them but it was the last time .... really bad ?

What can I say, when you are this good they call you Mr! All I can tell you about this place is there is always a lineup and I don’t know anybody who waits for bad food. Don’t judge this place by the area as it is a gem if you like jerk. I got the oxtail which is pretty good dish, the gravy is nice and flavourful and portion wise you will not be hungry. The patties are great here as well so don’t forget to add one of those to your order. Worth the trip and worth the wait for this β€˜mom and pop’ place.

Finally got in to try the jerk dinner and a piece of fried chicken. Both were absolute perfection! Plus, I was expecting to pay almost twice as much, and that still would have felt this positive about it.

Used to go back in the 1990s when Paul was the owner. The food and quality was A1 back then. The original Mr. Jerk owners run this store now. The food and quality is still exceptional and the service as well!! Truly a neighborhood jem and still one of the best takeout Jamaican restaurants in the city. The best in my opinion. I will always love this place and happy to see the original owners putting such quality and care into the restaurant. I rate it a 12 out of 10. Everything is good there, so tasty and big portions and great prices! Hope it's there forever.

Mr. Jerk has been serving the community for many many decades. New management took over, but I can assure the quality has not slipped! Huge portions, low price, amazing jerk.
