We visited as part of a stay at the Fairmont. The concierge insisted we book but then turned out to be one of only 2 tables. Because of this it was lacking in atmosphere sadly and we regretted our choice. The food was tasty but when we finished our meal at 9 the staff were closing up and looking the door as we paid and left. Not the best experience and the shuttle driver conceded it is usually quiet. I'd have prefered an honest view from the start as that took out one night of a two night stay in Banff.

Rib is lack of seasoning and too dry. Baked beans probably straight from the canned. Mac&Cheese has no taste. More servers than the customers but the service is still bad. Don't come here if you want great smoked dishes

Great restaurant in the middle of the golf course, surrounded by mountains. Went for dinner and had ribs and smoked beef: very tasty and tender!!! Friendly staff made us feel extremely comfortable. Would recommend!! Thx Sammi and Chloe!!

Not impressed. Simply does not reflect the same standards as the other Fairmont Banff Springs facilities. Not a smokehouse but a golf course snack bar at best. If your going to call it a smokehouse then do it right! Ribs were stale, tasted like frozen reheated then covered with sub par bbq sauce to mask the taste. To put things in perspective, the best part of my plate were the institutional food service quality frozen waffle fries.

Service was good, but the food was mediocre at best. Had the 3 choice platter with pulled pork, ribs and brisket along with sides of mac and cheese, beans and spoon bread. The pulled pork was absolutely swimming in bbq sauce (so much that I couldnt really tell it was pork), the brisket was dry, and the ribs were coated in so much black pepper that pepper was all I could taste. There was little to no smoke flavor in any of it. The mac and cheese and spoonbread were very good, but the beans were so undercooked they were inedible. We really expected more from somewhere that is a world class golf course. Unfortunately, we won't be returning... it was disappointing.

Very interesting clubhouse with the large pipe in the middle of the dining room. I did not eat here but I did golf 18 holes. What an incredible design by Stanley Thompson. The par 3 fourth hole is the most beautiful that I have ever played. The course was in super shape for the opening day of 2016. I was surprised that for a course in the mountains it was quite flat. Only 3 holes had some change in elevation....2, 4 and 15. I had played Jasper Park Lodge the day before which was incredible too!! I'll be back! !
