★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've made several purchase here. I've found the sales reps to be attentive and helpful when necessary. They have a great return policy (60 days for most items) and a good selection of both high end and more affordable options. The store is also nicely laid out and modern. When there are sales, the prices are quite good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had trouble with a boot fitting and informed the store. The managers were extremely professional and interpersonal, and put me ahead in getting an appointment with the expert boot fitter. She knows her craft down to the smallest detail. No surprise I walked out with a pair of great fitting boots, with an added liner, and no extra charge for the trouble.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I randomly came across this store, and I’m so glad I did. I had been to 3 other outdoors/sports store that day, and all 3 of them consisted of employees that couldn’t answer any questions about their products, and tried to sell me on items/features I don’t care about. On the way home I coincidentally saw this Sporting Life in Burnaby, BC, and decided to try just one more stop. They were an amazing help! They know a lot about their products, and if one of them can’t answer a question they are honest enough to say “I don’t know, but let me get someone who can answer that” (Compared to the other stores I encountered that either pretended they knew answers or just tried selling me things I didn’t care about.) The honesty, knowledge, and professionalism of this Sporting Life has earned my trust as where I’ll go for all outdoor/sporting needs in the future. Check them out!

I ordered for my first time ( a helmet) and they sent the wrong size. figured no big deal, they can send me a return shipping label and I can get the correct one sent.
No way to speak to a person, must fill out a form online. They finally answer asking for photos of the product and the order number. The order number was already included in the form I had to complete, but whatever, I send it again. another 3 days pass, so I ask them for an update, as I had to pay for a rental yesterday, and would like the new one sooner than later.
They offer to send me a shipping label, but don't actually send the label. Then say when I order the new one, they'll offer me free shipping - it is already free on orders over $99. The worse part, I bought it on sale, and now the price has increased $30. And now, they are out of stock of the size I originally ordered although when I first contacted them, it was still in stock.
I get that mistakes happen, but I am frustrated by the slow response time, lack of return shipping label and trying to offer me something that is already included as a consolation, and no mention of honouring the sale price I originally purchased it for, so now I have to pay an extra $30, plus the $10 rental fee. Pretty weak service altogether. FAIL

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anya at Sporting life is just what we need for our local ski racing needs. She brings knowledge and experience to Burnaby. We had an issue with a pair of skis that we had to purchased online from a different store and as a result, getting warranty work was proving to be difficult. In discussion with Anya on repair options, she offered to contact the rep and then she helped us with getting a replacement pair under warranty. She did not have to do this and it is greatly appreciated. Her personal experience with ski racing has helped with outfitting my children with the correct equipment.
Trenton has also proven himself as a valuable employee of Sportinglife. We had to purchase new race skis since one of the previous ones had broken. We were in a time crunch as there was a race the next day. We purchased skis in the morning and then picked them up. Mounted tuned and waxed after work that day. He was a lifesaver for sure.
Looking forward to working with your ski team next season.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Carried a great array of high quality brands. Was impressed to see a large real estate of the store housed Canada Goose jackets and accessories. Arguably the best store to shop for a Canada goose.
They had sections for everything: skiis, snowboards, surfing, biking, snowshoeing, hiking, you name it!
Also it was very accessible as it was right by the mall parking stalls.

They found the last piece of a ski clothing on a mannequin high on the shelves and took it off for me. Thanks ladies. Overall great staff and ambiance. Very spacious store and nicely located.
