They catered my uncle's funeral for 100 people and the food was amazing ? such professionalism and understanding, will definitely come back... if you are looking for great service and even better food you found the spot at spice and rice

DRY rice! Can make better at home and have been!!!! Saw bugs inside restaurant! refuse to go back only good place in edmonton is Southside don't trust this place! EDIT: appears you can't give an honest review without the owner claiming you are harassing them? Not sure why they replied that way.. either way this is exactly how the buisness runs under unprofessional young people who don't care about quality

Honestly, no words can describe how exquisite the food from Spice and Rice is, besides the great service offered by both ,the cashier and the chef. I highly recommend this place to all who wants to experience the most tasteful journey to the Caribbean no plane ticket needed. Private business like this one we need to support more. You guys rock !!!!!

We tried Spice N Rice for the first time. Got the mango chicken and Trinidad chicken. It was tasty especially the mango chicken and the plantain. I was hoping that the Trinidad chicken would of been a little spicier. The only thing we didn't like was the bread a bit too dry. But everything else had lots of flavor

We had heard great things about this place and finally decided to bite the bullet, and give it a go and we weren't disappointed. The food is incredible - tender, spicy chicken and flavourful spice n' rice with an assortment of delicious sides. That being said however, I think the customer service could be improved a bit. Everyone who works there is very kind and helpful, but the service is a bit slow and chaotic. When we ordered our food, we were told it would take 25 mins but once we got there (around 30 mins later), it took an additional 15 mins. The more disappointing piece was that we were only told 5 mins before we got our food, that they didn't have the ingredients for one of our orders and so, had to replace it with an alternative. I understand these things happen but it would have been courtesy for them to provide some sort of extra to compensate for the inconvenience. Also, when we received our order they forgot to include all the items and we had to remind them about it. All in all, the food is fantastic, the people who work there are incredibly kind, and one thing for sure is we'll certainly be back. My recommendation would be for them to have more of a system in place when it comes to ordering. For example, they could take the customer's number down to tell them if they had to make a change to their order or update them on their order if it's taking more time or maybe even, being more pessimistic with the time so expectations are being met. I would also double check the order and make sure it's fulfilled before giving it to the customer. If you're thinking of going to this place, I do highly recommend. Keep up the great quality of food Spice N Rice, and hopefully this feedback is beneficial ?

Decided to stop in and try Spice n’ Rice after living in the area since they’ve opened. I had the mango chicken curry and was not disappointed. The food was fantastic! The chicken was tender, and the flavours of the curry came together beautifully. The owner was incredibly nice as were the staff. Delicious meal and I’ll certainly be back!

This thing, this thing right here is what's refered to as "The Rasta Pasta" and by gum does this bowl pack some serious action, ran a little ahead at work today stopping to scoop some lunch and though it took a little longer than anticipated probably could've called and ordered pick-up but had no real idea as to what I was expecting. It changed my life. . . The flavor stayed with me the rest if the afternoon and here as I write this remain completely sated... Will try again

I’ve driven by this place for a year and finally stopped in for takeout. Food was amazing. Each dish is made to order but it’s worth the wait (approx 15-20 min). I shared the Jerk Chicken and Mango Chicken with a friend, they were both well balanced and flavourful. The jerk wasn’t too spicy but had some warmth. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. I got a free sample of oxtail and that was also surprisingly delicious. Will definitely be back!
