Spice Hut Indian Cuisine.

Some of the tastiest Indian food I have had. Good Service from the staff , polite , knowledgeable, professional. And actually scary fast , we ordered and bam! Five minutes later we had our food . 120$ lunch for 3 of us plus tip. 15% . Very tasty food, never had mango curry lamb , but so tender and great flavor. The lamb biryani, was delicious ( don’t even know if it’s on the menu lol, Veggie korma/ dal makhni / all , top shelf dishes. I would go back in a heart beat. Thank you so much for having us. This is a heads-up to the owners of this business. I'm a business owner too and I know how much hard work goes into running a business. You have a great facility and great food (5 star) but the service is absolutely the worst. We were there on April 16, 2022 around 4:30 PM. the place had 3 tables occupied at that time. It seemed like once we were seated, at a dirty table full of crumbs (we were seated with a menu), they forgot about us. About 20 minutes later, a server came to ask us if we were ready to order. I asked for the table to be cleaned first. She also apologized for the delay because they were so busy but the place wasn't even busy yet! We had our 87 yr old mother with us so we didn't want to change tables at this point. The attitude was very bad when I asked the table to be cleaned. Another 10 minutes later, our server came (another one). She was very pleasant and seemed like the only one who cared about cleaning the next tables once the other clients had left (they were gone for a good 15 minutes). I can't remember our server's name but she was from the Czech Republic as per conversations. She was very good and maybe she could help you in having the right kind of servers and supervise for great service. Once the food was ordered, we were surprised at how fast the food came! then we finished eating and waited half an hour to ask for take-out boxes! Our server was very busy running around cleaning tables and picking up the slack. then the boxes came and we waited again for the bill. We decided to go up to the counter to pay. The worst thing was that nothing has changed since the last time we were there about a year ago! The problem was exactly the same. I took a new group of people this time and forgot about our last experience, which was really bad then too. I am rating you 1 star for the service. I am sure that if you don't make changes to staff and coach them on customer service, you will not get repeat customers and get ratings like mine. The great food that you have deserves great ratings. While we sat there, and it was getting busier, there was a group of about 8 people that came in and they were forgotten about as well. Dear owner, I hope you look at this review as an opportunity to make it better. We are in Canmore a lot. I will give it one more chance the next time we go there. But that will be our deciding factor in if we ever go back after that. To be honest, The phone kept ringing and it seemed like every one was running to attend to the phones instead of the people inside. Good luck with your retraining of staff :)

Ordered shrimp biriyani , chicken biriyani , naan & butter chicken . Naan was nice but other dishes were not very tasty. Anyone who wants very spicy ask for more than medium spicy . Place was clean and spacious . Parking was easy and no waiting

The food was good! Unfortunately this is the second time in about a week and half we have been in and the service is awful. Food comes out quick when you get your order in! Came in tonight and there were 3 girls and about 4 tables so not hard to handle,. Had to wave a girl down to get our order in! Ordered a take out meal with our meal and had to wait a 1/2 hour to get it after paying and reminding them about it. They couldn’t even remove the dirty plates from the table. Defiantly need to hire girls with experience. No sense of urgency! Will not be back any time soon.

I came here from Vancouver, me and my family decided to try this place out and we made the RIGHT choice!!! great service, great spices, great taste, and great presenatation of the food, we have already eaten here twice since we had our 5 day trip!!!! Overall if i were to stay in Canmore again i would order here for sure, overall JAI HO!!!

Guess the chicken!!! This place use to be really good and now it is the worst in Alberta . We ordered chicken tikka and we were served chicken which was more of butter chicken . I beg of you all calgarians please don’t visit this place. It costly with disgusting taste and the manager is awful and don’t take the complaints directly and tell the server this is the way we cook it . Eat it or leave it!!!

This restaurant is in an odd spot where you could miss it if you don't see the exit. First off you see the giant bear under their brand roadside. Inside, the restaurant is relatively clean. The server seems out of her depth...perhaps she is new. We asked numerous questions and she said she didn't know. When we asked if she could just ask the chef, she finally did and came back with our answers. We ordered the Dal which was fine enough. The Vindaloo was good but was a bit too tomato-ey from my experience. Lastly the Biryani was not great...no freshness to the rice or saffron which are the staples of a great biryani. I'll give it three stars as if was quite good. But not really on par with other Indian establishments that I've experienced before that I gave four or five stars to.

The tandoori platter is amazing and it comes with rice and some salad and butter chicken gravy which is yum. Garlic naans could have been better as they were bit chew and not much soft. But the rest of the food was amazing including chicken korma. The service was great. Thanks for such amazing food and hospitality.
