They get the job done. People here might be rude or tough to deal with. But man, they are doing a good job. I would prefer going here over any other private cunning (too compassionate for money) clinics in Newmarket.

I took in an elderly patient with advanced Alzheimer's disease because he appeared to have had a seizure. He was not examined on the basis of this possibility, but received an oral interview instead, at which I acted as facilitator because of the patient's deteriorated cognitive function. Staff worked hard to appear obliging, but it all seemed oriented to the fulfillment of a job description as opposed to genuine probing. No examination had been done prior to the interview to determine whether a seizure had taken place, and no blood was taken for analysis while I was present. Instead, after a long wait we were apprised of various at-home programs of which we might avail ourselves. All information was delivered in a rapid manner such that it was difficult to apprehend. No concrete resolution was arrived at and the patient continues to deteriorate. Today we are consulting elsewhere and examining other options. We shan't return to Southlake - it has become too big, a labyrinthine quagmire too difficult to navigate. In the end, my elderly friend was traumatized by the events of the day, and I spent the night trying to keep him calm so he could get to sleep. One positive note: the "goodwill ambassadors" at the ED appeared to have a genuinely positive effect. Their function is not immediately apparent, but they worked to reassure patients and were able to facilitate a few requests. Final note: at least two cases of COVID-19 were confirmed while we waited (3 1/2 hours) - the people in the room in which we were waiting were visibly alarmed at hearing staff discuss the cases in loud voices out in the open. It would be rather more professional for staff to discuss such matters more discreetly, out of courtesy for the rest of us sitting and waiting to be seen.

There is a reason why there is a low rating. I don't comprehend how people that work at a hospital can be so sour. A bed side manners seminar should be done weekly.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My mother went to this hospital having chest pains, they would not let my father go in with her, yet she saw most people come in with someone. Whilst there, she was left neglected in a wheelchair while nurses were in a room talking. Then another nurse tried to bully her out of the wheelchair she was in, saying she was only there for a headache, which was not the case. When we called and inquired why my father was not allowed in, we were told it was at the discretion of the nurses. There needs to be a standard and protocol because there is blatant discrimination happening at this hospital. Something needs to be done!

Hospital is OK, guy at first reception desk was super rude, he seemed to not like the fact that I wasn't vaxxed as he gave me attitude when I asked a question. Terrible manners for working at a hospital! The nurses and doctors are super kind. I didn't wait too long which was great. However what I didn't like and was disgusted by was the amount of time it took for the hospital to clean up the blood stains on the floor that was coming from a patient that had unfortunately injured himself. I and other patients had to walk like 20 feet walking around the blood stained footsteps. Seriously? That should have been cleaned up right away. Don't know if I'd go there again to be honest. Also for the unkind employee working at the first desk upon entry, don't know if you heard but the triple vaxeed can also spread the virus just as much as I can! So no thank you to the poison that doesn't do anything to protect anyone!
