Sherlock's Automotive Repair - Edmonton

I've been taking my cars to Sherlock's for years and they've always exceeded my expectations. In fact, I never buy a new car without them doing an inspection. Derek and Barry are honest, knowledgeable and always go out of their way to help. I'd recommend Sherlock's 100%!

We have been going to Sherlock's for over 20 years (before it was even Sherlock's) Derek, Barry and Marilyn have always taken great care of our cars through the years. Derek even told us when it was time to get a new care. We appreciate the honesty and strong work ethic that guides this business. Marilyn works the front and she is just as knowledgeable about the business. This really helps with quality customer service.

Been using Sherlock's off and on over the years. Happy with their work. I would recommend for sure.

Honestly, if I could give this company a zero star I would. Dealing with these guys was a huge headache. Take your business elsewhere. They're unprofessional and they will waste your time and money on mediocre service.

The receptionist is a kind man so I give this place a 2 star rating. If it wasn't for him, it'd be 1 star. Our insurance company referred us to this place because "they accept AMA insurance for a discount." They have a sign outside that says "Approved Auto Repair Services CAA". That's close to false advertising. The first time we went there, we had a few issues with the vehicle but figured the break pads just needed to be replaced. They took our vehicle for an assessment, gave us a complementary rental vehicle, which by the way, had VERY LITTLE gas left in it. Literally, the meter said it was just about empty. The receptionist gave us $20 to fuel it up ourselves! Once we got our vehicle back the next day, they gave us the receipt which showed how much work they did. They replaced WAY more than just the break pads and ended up costing us over $2,000! We figured it's good that they fixed everything and we felt safer driving it knowing all the work they put into it. I just wish they told us what they were going to do first before they replaced everything. No warning given. We have an amateur mechanic friend who told us that one of the front tires has a tiny hole in it, which explains why we needed to fill that tire with air every two weeks. Since he's not a certified mechanic, he recommended we go see a professional. We went back to Sherlocks and told them we just need that one tire replaced. We dropped the car off for a few hours and when we got it back, he charged us for ALL FOUR TIRES!! That again cost us around $1,600!!! We just needed the ONE tire to be replaced. This place is MAJOR rip off. They just want your money and don't even accept AMA discounts. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone who tries to pinch their pennies. On a better note, we haven't had any other mechanical issues since we got the vehicle back so I guess their mechanics know how to do their job.

This shop is the best place to go for anything automotive related. I have never had such great service in my life before. The guidance they gave about my car made it easy to understand.

Needed to get a radiator replaced in an older vehicle ASAP. Called Derrick (sorry if I spelt it wrong), gave me a well priced quote and was within $20 of what I was quoted at. All the staff were extremely personable and helpful. Huge plus that they fit me in same day. Highly recommend!!

Decent shop overall got my heater core repaired on my civic was told it was already there and just had to run the wire. Overall an honest shop tad bit pricey oil change but, you get what you oay for I would say go to this shop if you need anything done they most definetely will treat you well eith fair pricing.
