What is Gingival Contouring?

Gingival contouring is the solution; performed by your dentist in as little as one visit, the excess tissue can be lasered away with no pain or discomfort, in the process reshaping your smile. Before the procedure is performed, in order to assure maximum comfort, an anaesthetic is applied to the area to be treated. Once sensation is lost in the area, your dentist will proceed to use a dental laser to remove the offending tissue. As it is removing the gingival tissue, the laser seals the gum, leaving no bleeding or need for stitches.

My initial exam was extrememly thorough and informational. They explained things to me that I never knew before. On top of that, they're so friendly and welcoming that you forget you're in a dentist's office. You're always welcomed with a smile, from top to bottom. When it came to insurance and payment, they work with you in order to figure out what is best for you, and they are willing to take the time to explain and anwer any questions you may have. I got my wisdom teeth taken out, and they even took the time to call and check in on me to see how things were going. Dr. Damji is awesome and you can tell that he genuinely cares about your oral health. I've lived in Calgary for about 2 years and I have finally found the place where I will be doing my dental work in the future. Love this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amy is my hygienist and has completely removed my fear of having my teeth cleaned. I have very sensitive teeth and gums and dread appointments because of the discomfort. My very first appointment, Amy listened to all my concerns and offered solutions, one of the solutions offered was topical numbing. I could not believe this was even an option. This was the first cleaning I have ever had that had zero discomfort. I no longer fear my cleanings and appointments and look forward to seeing Amy. She is amazing and knows what she is doing! Thanks to her, my gum health is improving! If you are looking for a knowledgeable and personable hygienist that cares about her patients, Amy is who you are looking for!

I have huge anxiety even with the thought of having to go to the dental office. I don't worry too much anymore after my second visit here. The dentist was very professional with her work, but also felt like the next door lady in the neighbor. The hygienist was so comforting, I quickly built the trust in her. I highly recommend this place.
