Lazy and incompetent is the best way to describe this branch. I had a certified cheque that I paid money for and they are still holding the check for 4 days instead of 5. Complete waste of time going to and paying to certify a cheque only to not have access to it. My experience has me questioning whether or not to continue banking at Scotiabank, can’t change banks now though because they are holding all my money. Disgraceful service.

As bank with policies that perpetuate cycles of poverty, not a good choice for students or low-income customers. Scotiabank is holding my paycheck for eight days with no explanation other than it is their "policy." Why is it being held? What is happening during this time? In the mean time, I'm wracking up late fees. I appealed to the branch manager to see if they could release enough funds to pay rent and student fees but he was curt and irritated offering only $100. Not helpful. Try this - one, be transparent and verbally explain to potential customers your bank's lengthily hold times for deposits. Simply handing someone a brochure is not ethical. Two, even if you are unable to complete a request, there is no need to make me feel like I did something wrong. Show understanding to customers in difficult situations, it's basic customer service.

Scotiabank is one of the most inept financial institutions I have dealt with. This branch is the worst that I have seen in my life. If you are looking for financial "professionals" to give you advice just use google. Put your money elsewhere....like your mattress.

The advisors at this branch never pick up the phone. I recently had a work related emergency while away, in which I needed their help but non of the phone representative where able to contact the branch. Looks like I have to travel back and solve the issue in person because again, none of the advisors or staff at the branch are picking up the phone regardless day or time. My advice is that you join another branch if you're looking for insight on this one.

The worst treatment I saw ever I'm not recommending any person to open the line of credit in this branch because the employee there put a lot of obstacles and ask many questions not necessary for more than half-hour and in the end was not helpful. in the same time I went to other bank in the same mall they gave me the line of credit for just5 min without any obstacles

The worst bank ever! It has a big security issue. Somebody came to Scotia and used my stolen ID and credit card to deposit $6,100 and withdraw $2,000 Cash and they didn't ask the stealer to remove the mask!! Literally, the teller gave away deposited the $2,000 and gave away the $2,000. DO NOT GO WITH Scotia!

Awful customer service. Today i went to get my credit card and they gave it to me as an opened envelope when I complained the employee then she told me we had to open it to verify your address. How come you can open something private? I never experienced something like this before. The blonde-haired lady working there gave me a business card and said you can go and talk to the bank manager and she was very arrogant. I do not recommended this location they have no clue about customer service.

Honestly the worst experience I've ever had at a bank and I work in finance and have worked in a bank... When I first opened my bank account I came in to set up and understand how the bank can help my financial needs to feel like they are simply just shoving products down my throat without actually understanding my personal financial position. I stayed banking with scotia because it was convenient and fine - but when it came to any concern, customer service has brushed me off and in no way do i feel understood. I was treated like trash and honestly seems like they don't care. They didn't want to help me and they refused to even make more effort than they needed to. Even when speaking to a call centre I at least felt heard even if there wasn't much they can do. But this branch made me feel horrible and unimportant.
