We came in to get vaccines done for our lil guy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt welcome as a new client and we'll definitely go back for future vet care needs!

Preface: I am a vet assistant with 16 years of experience at an AAHA clinic in Surrey. After moving to Sardis recently, I've been fretting about finding a clinic for my pets' veterinary care – a place I can trust as much as my previous clinic. I chose Sardis Animal Hospital because of the positive reviews, my personal interactions with staff during food purchasing and very importantly because it is AAHA (so I know I will be receiving high quality medical care). I brought my 3 dogs and 1 cat in for their exams, vaccines and blood work yesterday. When I arrived 10 minutes prior to my 9am appointment, I phoned to let them know and I requested to wait in the car until the exam room was ready to go straight in (I have barky little dogs). At 9:30am, an assistant came out and confirmed who I was and offered to help bring my pets in. The VA took my cat inside and I followed a minute after with my 3 dogs. When I entered, I didn't see the VA or my cat so I waited near the front door. There was a labradoodle near the reception desk but thankfully my dogs didn't make a scene – I was hoping to go straight to the room as requested but I understand that things happen, miscommunications, etc. The receptionists were both on the phone but after a couple of minutes, one of them came around to ask if I had been helped yet. Shortly after, Dr. McCallum came out and welcomed us into the exam room. I was pleasantly surprised to see Dr. McCallum as I have worked with her a few times at my previous clinic. I was very pleased with the thoroughness of my pets' physical examinations and the overall smooth flow of the appointment. The staff worked like a well-oiled machine in regards to trading one pet out for blood work while the other was examined. After everything was done, I took a seat in the waiting area, then thought better of it (little dog syndrome!) so I took my pets out to my vehicle and I returned to the waiting area myself. The clinic is immaculately clean and spotless. The exam room was tidy and well lit. The waiting area is generously sized with simple but aesthetically pleasing decor. While I waited for my invoice and dental estimates, a rep came in to meet with (I assume) a manager. After a couple of minutes, the manager brought the rep past me and into an adjacent hallway. After about 10+ minutes, I paid for my visit and I booked 3 dentals for my dogs. AAHA hospitals can be a little more expensive than other clinics (also because services and thoroughness varies from clinic to clinic) but I truly believe, when it comes to a veterinary care, that quality is worth the cost. Overall, I was very pleased with my visit! Constructive Criticism: Vet clinics run late a lot – I know this very well – but I think it's important to acknowledge the situation because a client's time is important as well (ex: Thank you for your patience, Sorry for the wait! Etc.). A quick β€œHello,” smile, little wave, etc. to clients even if you are not directly involved in their pet's care (Receptionists can make eye contact and smile to acknowledge someone standing there, even if on the phone. A manager can say Hello to a single client sitting in the waiting area as they pass by, etc.). And lastly, and most importantly (in my opinion as the client today) – Come say hi to my dogs! Tell me how cute they are! Yell across the desk... anything! No one said Hello to my animals or made any sort of fuss over them. We love animals (that's the reason we're in this industry) but I think sometimes we need to remember to enjoy the little things - like giving 3 scruffy little dogs a pat (which I would have loved as it shows a little β€œgoing the extra mile”). I know it is a very stressful time in the industry and while I am confident that my pets will receive excellent care here, I think sometimes we need a gentle reminder to consider some of the smaller things that can take a veterinary visit from Very good to Great. Sardis Animal Hospital was recommended to me by my inlaws that took their miniature schnauzer there for years. My wife and I took our new puppy there and have had nothing but absolutely amazing service. Our puppy like most puppies is full or energy and sometimes hard to get to stay still but Dr. Powell has such a gentile hand and is so so incredible. to our amazement when he was checking our girl out she didn't move, make a sound, she was absolutely perfect for him and she really really liked everyone that she's interacted with at the Animal Hospital. They will be the only animal hospital we take our dog to. I would recommend anyone to take their fur, fethered, warm or cold blooded animal babies to!!

I absolutely love the staff here. I'm not particular about who my dog sees. Pretty sure I've had most of the doctors. They're beyond fabulous and I know they're being honest and up front about everything. Thank you for being there when she needed to spend a night.

My little 17 1/2 year old β€œCougar” was diagnosed with kidney disease a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, our vet clinic was sold out of his prescription food. I contacted Sardis Animal Hospital and everyone was so kind. They quickly gathered the food I needed, and let me pay over the phone with a credit card. His food was picked up and my little Cougar was able to get the special diet he needs. Thank you for your compassion. This is a really tough time, and this clinics kindness is very much appreciated.

(Posting from my husband's account as Google won't allow a second/update review) Following up from my initial review in March - My 3 dogs came in on three consecutive days for dentistry this past week. I am super happy with my experience at Sardis Animal Hospital. Each day I had a different technician admitting and performing each dog's dentistry. All of the RVTs I dealt with were professional, friendly and they had great communication regarding the dental procedure/what I should expect. I received an update call from the doctor after each pet was done and another phone call later in the afternoon from the RVT to go over home-care and set up a discharge time. I also received a a follow-up call the next day to check in on their well-being, post procedure. I am extremely pleased with the level of care that my pets received during their dentistry - Sardis AH is very thorough with their dental procedures from start to finish. This was the first time in 16 years (as a VA) that I was not present and involved during one of my pet's anesthetics or procedures. I am so relieved that I have found a veterinary clinic with the exceptional quality care that only an AAHA accredited hospital and an exceptional team can provide – it gives me more peace of mind than I can say. Thank you Dr. Powell and team for the great experience! My scruffy little guys now have mouths that are clean, healthy and happy!

We have been taking our pets to Sardis Animal Hospital for the last 5 years. We have always had a positive experience in dealing with every staff member right from the moment we walk in the door with the receptionist, to the vet technicians, veterinarians and the owner. They are all fantastic. I recommend this clinic to everyone I know. I find that they are fair, reasonable and know what know what they are talking about. They show kindness towards both me and my dogs every time. It is wonderful to have found a place that we can really trust. Everyone in this office is warm, friendly and genuinely care about your pets. Thank you to Marissa, Dr. Powell and Dr. Danoe for taking such great care of Mea. Beyond words, I appreciate the kindness, service and caring that we have found here.

Jan 22 2022 9am Nice helpful staff. Clean inside office area. I dropped my 2 cats off inside and the Veterinarian herself brought my kids back outside and we talked for a bit and another staff member came out and took payment.. So this office and staff I think are very accommodating to customer service. That's what has kept me coming back.. Unfortunately I'm moving to Red Deer AB. This Location is worth a chance.
