I know these people are not professionals, nor do I expect them to be. But when you hand a customer a product (dye) from the shelf, you know the customer is taking your word that you have handed them the correct product. Alls I wanted to do was even out the gold tones in my blonde hair, and was handed neutral instead. Without realizing, because i was in a rush, I wanted to look my best for an interview, I saturated my hair completely. Within 15 mins, I saw my hair go from gold locks to dark ash. I immediately washed my hair multiple times to ensure I got the product out. My hair literally looks like sewage. When I called to hopefully reconcile, I was greeted with "what do you want me to do about it?" And "its your fault for not strand testing" girl! Really? Your employee handed me a product, after she helped me for close to 20 mins of figuring out the goal. I dont feel its my responsibility to make sure your girls are doing what they say they're doing. Who knows maybe the box was put in the wrong spot, but double check at the til maybe? Its called customer service. Also, maybe your assistant manager shouldn't be standing talking to the employees, bashing new hires or current employees, when there are customers/clientele in the store. In the span of 3 weeks (i couldn't make up my mind, hair is a process people!) I heard her twice, (2 out of 3 visits) bash new employees and current higher up management. This is the same lady, who a few months ago, insulted my mom who has MS and is losing her vision and motor skills, by being extremely condescending and rude to her. Ive also witnessed her be rude to POC. I think its time i go spend my HARD earned money somewhere else.

I went to the Sally’s location in spruce grove Ab a few weeks ago and out of the few locations I’ve been to In Edmonton this was the best location I’ve experienced. The lady that helped me gave me some great suggestions and they actually had product even though they were stocking shelves. They even looked in the product boxes to see if they had one more tube of the colour I needed. I usually take 2.5 tubes of colour for my thick long hair. They didn’t judge me when I walked in, which I thought they would cause I smelled like a camp fire since I was camping close by and I looked like a real mess. Thanks for making me feel normal as much as normal can be lol. I will be back

I had gotten a triple barrel waiver for my birthday in May and I had kept the box and receipt up until two weekends ago, thinking I no longer needed to keep it cause I liked it. Well the following week AFTER I threw out the box and receipt it STOPPED working. I went in to explain what had happened and then allowed me to exchange it for a new working one. They didn't have to given that I had thrown away the box and the receipt for it. So I am thankful for their great customer service and no hassles about it, clerk was very nice as well. Thank you again and I will return to your location for any other products that I may need :)

Shout out to this Sally's location that went above and beyond in trying to help me with my search on my color when my local Sally's Beauty closest to me couldn't even be bothered to check one of their boxes they got in shipment on the floor in front of them. Claireview location unfortunately did not get one of the colors I needed but had the other in. I will be taking my business here from now on and support this location as it seems they actually care about sales and customer service. Thank you for your effort and service!

This review is a little bit late but I wanted to make sure I got it done because I feel like Sally's has a bad rap for bad customer service and it really is just not the case. I can imagine it can be a little intimidating dealing with a bunch of women all the time lol. And a lot of people put the blame on the ladies working there if their hair doesn't turn out exactly how they wanted it to. I've done my blonde hair for years but I recently decided to dye half my blonde hair a dark brown. The first time I went in KEIRA was absolutely amazing! Answered all my questions! But of course it didn't turn out to be my vision so I went back. She felt so bad! I told her it was no ones fault, it is what it is sometimes lol but again KEIRA was absolutely amazing, so kind, so friendly! Helped me again and it turned out exactly like I pictured! Now I can rest this hair because she is not liking me very much right now haha. People going in need to understand that that lady helping you might of had a bad customer before you went in so just be kind and patient and you will receive the same kind and patient experience that I continue to receive! Thank you so much KEIRA you were an absolute dream lol?

I buy my hair dyes here and they have a great selection of bright vibrant colors. The staff knows their stuff and they have always been helpful.

The manager with the short blonde hair is the rudest person I have met in a retail setting. I walked into the store and she followed me around the store like I was going to steal probably from the color of my skin as she proceeded to tend to the caucasion woman. Why work at a beauty supply store if your going to be racist and not wanting to help people of color. Hope the company does better and not having this type of person represent their brand.
