Sage Kingston

I have never stayed in such a poor apartment. If you are looking for a responsible property, please do not live in sage. First, they are not supportive at all and if you want to ask for help, you cannot find anyone. After sage rent their room to you, they disappear. NO HELP NO SECURITY STAFF. You package will be stole frequently.

The rental agent Alice is really helpful when I was doing the house hunting. She gave me a lot of advices that can help me locate the unit I would like to rent. She even offered me a huge promotion.

I wish I could give this place a 0 star. I feel bad for anyone who moves into here next year. This place is absolutely atrocious. I don't even have words for how bad this apartment building is. and I will give you reasons why. 1. They moved all of us in way too early. I walked into my building with dust, garbage and a lot of things missing. MISSING! Like cabinets etc. 2. They said the common area/ gym would be open in October. It did not open until March/April. 3. the fire alarm goes off at so many different hours even in the middle of the night. I have evacuated the building at 8am, 3am, 2pm and probably many more times. 4. There is construction all the time, with the majority of us being students, we can not work with this noise. 5. my unit HAD NO WINDOWS. And on top of that from the months of september, october, november the temperature in my unit was about 30 degree celcius with no windows to open. I had to live somewhere else for about a month. unlivable. 6. Construction workers in my unit all the time. For example last week two men were ON MY BED. They left screws in my bed sheets while "fixing my bed" which i never asked for. You should never have to live in a unit that is not LIVABLE. there are no words to describe how dissapointed I am with this building and with all the STAFF who never answer their emails. so dear sage, I will do whatever to make sure people do not make the mistake of renting here.

I don’t even know where to start. Please avoid this building and company at ALL COSTS. With similar issues to the other reviews (unfinished everything??) I have had the worst experience living here. I’m only a second year female student, never lived in kingston previously, and this building has created more stress in my life than I thought was possible. Of course with having everything unfinished (I only recently received a countertop a few weeks ago, we had a piece of rotting plywood before!) this place is dangerous. What they don’t tell you is that the construction and the various different workers they have, have a master key to your apartment! Ive had multiple instances where I’ve been busy or indecent and have had men just walk in like they own the place without ANY warning. It’s terrifying. Ive come back after leaving for a week to filthy random clothing on my bed. And that’s just a tiny tiny tiny bit of what it’s like LIVING there. Don’t even try with the people who work for sage. They don’t respond, are completely rude and dismissive of the situation when they DO choose to decide to respond. I would be more than happy to share my various disgusting and deplorable experiences with anyone who works there. Oh also, if you do take action, they send you threatening emails. Disgusting.

Absolutely horrible. I have lived in Kingston for 10+ years and have never experienced anything quite like this. SAGE has a complete disregard for the safety and well-being of their tenants and a callous approach to the quality and maintenance of their units. For a brand new building, the finishes and craftsmanship of the units are awful - cheaply designed, put together improperly (if at all - we are still missing shelves, cabinet doors & it is February). Like many of the other reviews, I’ve had an impossibly hard time getting ahold of an actual person to discuss issues with (the list is long, but to make a few: unfinished unit, shower leaks, no access to amenities such as parking, storage lockers, gym (even though we’ve been told multiple times the gym & lockers are ready and the building would be ready in September), there are not dividers between balconies - so anyone, other tenants or construction workers, can walk past your bedroom window at any time). Now that there is an office on site for SAGE, any time you go in to speak with someone you are met with the same standard response (we will take down a message and get back to you by email - which they never do). I can certainly appreciate that COVID has had impacts beyond anyones control, but the complete lack of transparency and honesty with tenants is the truly infuriating piece when dealing with SAGE. If you are looking at this building for yourself, or as a parent for your children who attend post-secondary here - I would strongly encourage you to look else where. There are property management companies in Kingston who will respond to your inquiries and treat you and their properties with kindness and respect (having lived in the city for 10+ years, I am speaking from experience) and SAGE is not one of those places. I will be moving out when my lease is up in the summer and will never live in a building owned by this group again.

I wish I can give 0 stars. This apartment is the worst. Every single thing in the unit breaks so easily and they take MONTHS to fix it. The kitchen drawers are not fixed until 9 MONTHS LATER. The washing machine wasn't installed correctly which cause my whole unit to be flooded and damaged alot of things. They only gave us a 100$ gift card for 2 people, which did not cover my items that was damaged. They do not care about the tenants, they only care about our money and try to extort money as much as possible.

Sage Condos is one of the best you will find in Kingston. Its location is so convenient for commute to work or school. Each unit is designed with a lot of ventilation and sunlight. Each unit comes with fully furnished - washer, dryer in suite, full kitchen, bed with mattress, sofa, TV and free high-speed internet. Very safe and peaceful building with lot more exciting amenities coming up in the building.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Do NOT sign a lease here. Living here continues to be a nightmare, even nine months into my lease. This building was supposed to be done in September of 2021, and I'm still living in a construction zone as of almost May of 2022. We were promised so many amenities which I'm never even going to get to see before my year lease is up. Also, the furniture that comes in the units is laughable with how terrible it is. Just about everything breaks, and there's no possibility to get anything replaced! Getting any maintenance requests done is next to impossible, and I still have workers entering my unit weekly for no reason. There's still so much of this building needing to be done, and all I see is workers every day standing around and doing nothing. I don't think this building will be done by the time my lease is up. Save your time and money and DON'T try to live here.
