I received the inspection report very quickly afterwards which contained in-depth information in an easy to read format. The report was also completely custom and about 5x as long as another one I had gotten from a different company in the past. I would definitely recommend Safe Homes services to any prospective home buyer or seller!

When looking at a century home, or any home, an inspection is critical - most inspections will tell you what is wrong with a home. Andy's inspections will tell you what is wrong, what is good, what to look out for, and what sort of maintenance will be required to keep the home in good order. The report you get is not the standard checklist of items, it is an in-depth story of the home. If you looking to buy a home and not just a house I'd recommend investing the money in an inspection report from Safe Homes Canada.

Unlike the 4 other home inspectors we have had in the past who only spent about the last 15 mins to report back their findings, Andy brought us along while he did the inspection and explained to us what he was looking for, what to look out for, and how to maintain the property. His recommendations are very practical and thorough. Andy’s home inspection report is the best in the business. He doesn’t use a standard template like many others do. The entire report was tailored specifically for our home. We bought this home in a competitive market pre-COVID (March 2020) and had to waive all conditions. We debated whether to still do a home inspection and were so glad that we didn’t skip this important step. It was definitely worth the money to have Andy over to inspect our home. Fast-forward to a year after we purchased the home. We needed a service call but didn’t have any good contacts in the area. Called Andy and explained the situation to him. He was so kind and offered to take the time out of his busy day to stop by this property (it has since been rented out) to assess the situation for us. Not one single home inspector we had in the past would have cared to do that, but Andy did. We are grateful for Andy’s help and would recommend his services to anyone who’s looking for a great home inspector.

He makes sure that he checks all the parts of the house including the roof and attic. From the moment he walked in and introduced himself, I found him to be very pleasant, which made the process quite enjoyable. He was thorough and knowledgeable, stopping to point certain things out to us and willing to share tips on how to give our home longevity. He made every effort to access and assess all the areas of the home, even those that weren’t easily accessible, going above and beyond, removing shelves to get into the attic space and leaning his ladder against the side of a structure in order to properly view the roof. He was considerate enough to offer to return at a later date to check the heating once the weather changed. He was a pleasure to work with and we were very pleased with his services. He was kind enough to let us know that he’ll be available going forward should we ever need him and that is greatly appreciated! We will definitely work with him again!
