★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AWFUL emerg department. I came in covid positive and was placed in a "covid" waiting room with other patients who were NOT (but are more than likely now).
The nurses are beyond rude and unprofessional and frankly should not be working as they clearly despise their patients and job. While violently vomitting blood for 24 hours I was admitted and despite having a viable IV in was not placed on fluids for 5+ hours. Additionally, no clue why they asked for my medical history when none of it was relayed to the physicians, I'd told them what was wrong and they completely dismissed everything and subsequently did not order the right blood tests which had to be redone hours later on shift change (turns out I was right- LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS). A simple request for ice chips took 3 hours while I was lying in the fetal position in the next room listening to 3+ nurses gossip loudly about who they were sleeping with.
The lab tech and doctor were the only ones with any bedside manner, would not wish the experience on anyone!

I was there one time for my dad's appointment, and every health care worker we met were trying to help us and gave us the detailed direction on how to get the department we were looking for. The doctor and nurse are very friendly and patient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had surgery here today and can say the nurses and doctors here very compassionate and caring. Pretty nerve-wracking going under the knife but they made it as comfortable as possible. Shout out to the day surgery staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was admitted to the ER in Rockyview with a chest pain and restricted breathing. I was taken in immediately, and met with Dr. Conradie. This Dr. has an excellent bedside manner, and made me feel far more relaxed. He ordered several tests for which I went through in the next few hours, and they found the infection in my lungs. I stayed in the ER for 36 hours as they had no beds in the wards. This hospital is packed to the gills, yet staff are pleasant and attentive. I wouldn't be able to do so. The ER is a VERY busy and loud place, liken it to a 3 ring circus and a casino with all the monitors beeping. My respect and admiration for all of the nurses and doctors that helped me, they were all were wonderful. We are blessed to have these people available for our immediate care, they come and do what's needed to get you back on your feet, no matter how belligerent some of the patients were. Thank you again. I would send a basket but my son tells me no food because of COVID. IJM

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went many times in the last year to the emergency of this Hospital and honnestly they deserve 5 stars. There is almost never a wait, neither at sorting nor at check-in and you get to a bed very quickly. The doctors and nurses are nice and courteous and really professional. I always feel like I'm treated like a little baby. I lived the nightmares of emergencies in Quebec and I can say that Rockyview is positioned light years away from these latter

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff was friendly but the operational excellence was lacking ! They have a sign on the waiting room wall explaining that they can not have a full waiting room but they triage you to a smaller room / area with more people in extremely close quarters. The hospital itself was extremely filthy. Maybe they can’t afford cleaning staff but I have never seen a hospital so disgustingly dirty that I felt uncomfortable being there. In fact I did not see one person who was dedicated to this task. They did not triage appropriately to the areas / departments of medicine like some more professionally run hospitals do . I give this one star for the friendly staff but I suppose you can get that at your local coffee shop !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been here several times in the last two years for both emergencies and surgeries for myself and my father. This is a great hospital with amazing staff. The nurses in the emergency room are so kind and caring. They are very organized in taking care of patients unlike foothills hospital which is a hot mess!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot describe my gratitude for all the good care I got there during labor delivery and postpartum. I forgot all the names of the wonderful nurses and midwives (except for one her name was Sara too) everyone was just so very good to me. And everyone helped me to do my best and to stay positive so that my birth experience was just so beautiful. I'm so sure that God will bless you all for what you did for my husband and me so that both of us were comfortable with everyone. And especially thanks for the kindness, everyone was just so kind, I never in my life had imagined that I would have such good experience during labor and birth of my first baby but God sended us to a place where he had his kind workers so that everything went so well. Thank-you everyone. Y just don't have words enough to thank-you all and I really hope that you feel what I'm trying to say.
