★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought some really expensive hiking boots today which took me a long time to decide (~45 minutes). During the whole process, I was constantly assisted by an extremely knowledgeable employee who seemed to know all the specs of each and every shoe I was interested in. I have not often felt helped so well in making a tough decision and although I am not sure yet if the shoes will be perfect (I have to try them for a while of course), the selection process was made more easier by the great guidance I received. Thanks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't live in Victoria, but I specifically made a point of coming here to look for backpacking boots while visiting family. I had two horrible experiences shopping at MEC for backpacking boots and knew the service at Robinson's would be good. I was so so right and I'm so happy I did my business with this local shop. I thought the selection wouldn't be as good as at MEC, but I was totally wrong.
Outstanding service and knowledge from staff, great selection, and overall great experience. I highly recommend visiting them for any outdoor gear needs. I think I'll be back soon to purchase a backpack too :)
Also, great selection of backpacking meals! They have a huge wall of them and the prices are comparable to elsewhere.

The staff is very knowledgeable and will put in the time to help you find what you need at the price point you are looking for. Cameron was super helpful with sizing backpacks and finding one that would work well for field work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just came in to buy a sleeping bag. "Wacky Kathy" as her colleagues call her; was very friendly, informative, and helpful when helping me choose a sleeping bag. They let you try out all the products and can try on the sleeping bags in the showcase tents to get you into the camping experience. From walking into the door and leaving great service and friendly staff.

Loved the female presence working in a gear shop and just overall incredibly friendly staff. I didn’t end up buying anything but know I’ll be coming back every time I visit Victoria!
