★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There's a long wait time. But a thank you to all the nurses in there, they're pretty helpful. If you come here with severe pain or anything they'll just send you to your family doctor, They don't even bother with x-rays or anything else. During these times you're lucky if you can even get a phone call from your family doctor, it takes a long time to get an appointment for face to face. There's a reason we choose to go to the emergency but they just send you home without doing anything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to the emergency at 5 am due to extreme pain in upper abdomen area. Waited till noon and only took samples of my blood+urine. I don't find 7 hours of wait time reasonable for a hospital's "emergency department". It would take less time to fly to Toronto to get a check up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an ER visit yesterday and was very well taken care of. The nurses and doctors in Emergency are a dream team! I was treated so kindly and overheard others being treated with so much kindness as well. One nurse entertained some restless kiddos in neighbouring room while they were waiting to be seen by the doctor. Thank you for being lovely human beings and amazing professionals!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This in my opinion is the most well run and organized hospital I have ever been in. With a few exceptions all the staff even cleaners are VERY nice and helpful. Keep up the great work!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most staff seems to have compassion fatigue but one was extra aloof and judgy/unprofessional -- just because we're a certain age and look a certain way it doesn't make our pain any less real. It's unfortunate most of them can't seem to even provide the basic care and respect for those that come into the ER.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doctor was incredible even apologized for the wait- the one nurse at the beginning was amazing- then the one that replaced her was so rude and abrupt and barely did anything to make me feel comfortable! Was also a painful experience getting my iv when normally I don’t have any issues! Thanks for your service but please do a little more for your patients

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most of the ER doctors are very nice, except Dr. David who was extremely unkind and belittles ER patients. Also Dr. Cohen is quite dodgy. The nurses are really helpful, only a few were mean.
It appals me how a doctor, such as David, can lack empathy. It worries me especially when he is so unprofessional when someone is in dire need of help. His blatant disregard for patients' welfare, coupled with his condescending tone, is something you no one would want in an ER. Hopefully people don't die under his care.
Absolutely unacceptable behavior.

I’ve had really poor experiences with Vancouver ERs (looking at you, St. Paul’s..) so I was hesitant to even visit, but all the nurses and doctors were incredibly understanding and at no point dismissed my concerns. Not condescending at all, like other hospitals. Very thorough in testing as well. Really above and beyond on the bedside manner and level of care.
