Would be better if the retards who owned apartment #510 were better at picking tenants than the constant rotating group of dumbsdumbs that comes through that place. The police have been here almost weekly in the last 12 months. It really brings down the quality of the environment and reflects badly on the management of this building.

(This review is in no way a reflection of the management team in the building; they are beyond great, helpful, and friendly. Always trying to keep the peace for the betterment of all tenants) I love this building, I love my apartment, my landlord, and most of my neighbours. However, I have run into so many issues with a few people that it has made it extremely difficult to live here. Although it is a pet friendly building, most residents without pets hate them. There is a particular tenant that feels the need to police the entire building and everything that is happening around it. There seems to be an unresolvable issue about the "loading zone" behind the building that can easily be used for visitor parking, but NO SIR. God forbid they do something that makes sense and helps all residents. No one will actually speak with you or try to resolve anything in a friendly manner but instead immediately snitch and create drama. The rules are so strict it feels like you're living in the former Soviet Union. My partner has been videotaped with our dog by our neighbour below us, the same people who came up to complain 3 times because I was drilling 30mins past the condo association cutoff time, which by the way, are trumped by city bylaws. I was gone on a Monday afternoon from 12:30-1:30pm volunteering at Boyle street and my dog was whining a bit(I have a camera so I know) and a note was TAPED onto my door for others to see, which is so petty but that's ok, to deal with my dog blah blah blah. Go for a walk. Come volunteer with me. It's a Monday afternoon, why are you standing in the hallway egging on my dog? It's a concrete buidling. I know who you are, and I know you can't hear her in your apartment as you are on the opposite side of the hallway so just get a life please. There is a huge lack of tolerance here. I have constant anxiety and feel like I am being treated like a criminal. There are too many people in this building that never leave their apartment and cannot wait for something or someone to prey on. This is extremely unfortunate because it is one of the nicest, cleanest, and best buildings overall in the entire city. It is also very unfortunate that my only issue with the building has created such a hostility that I felt the need to warn people before moving in here. It is a wonderful building for anyone that does not have pets, kids, visitors, friends, family, a life, or anything that requires them to leave their home.

The Renaissance Place is beautiful building with views of Downtown and the River Valley. The building is well managed, clean and safe. It has a exercise room, sauna, pool and a private patio area. The building is super dog friendly and close to the LRT and walking distance to Whyte Ave. Over all the building is incredible.

If anyone tells you that this building is completely concrete they are lying or misinformed. The building itself has a concrete shell but the insides are built like an acoustic guitar and you can hear your neighbors sneeze. People believing its concrete must be why they think its OK to drill after hours or let their pets bark and whine constantly which is unfortunate. The way the balconies are made also allows all sound from your upstairs neighbors to travel into your own patio and apartment if the windows are open so if they're talking loudly at 2AM you're going to hear them, if they're screaming as some are apt to do, you are definitely going to hear them. If you have issues with your neighbors you are encouraged to write them a note if you don't want to talk to them face to face, its not the building managements job to do it for you. The building managers, Eric and Tony, are fantastic as well as the cleaners that come in pretty much everyday, the place is spotless and well kept. The location is good but awkward, its hills on all sides and you are not really near anything.

Nice building which is located on the curve of MacDougall road. Parking is tricky lots of time it is hard to park, busy all the time. Building is 8/10 clean little bit old. Lobby is nice as you can see in the picture. Higher floors you get nice view on the North Saskatchewan River.
