New paint job and the works. It literaly took them 2 1/2 years for them to have absolutely no work done on the bike. Paid them to purchase the same bike i visited 2 years ago. Here's the full story. I came to Recycle Cycle 2 1/2 years ago looking to purchase a new bike. I found one and put a deposit to restore it. New parts, new paint job and tune up stuff. I expected no more than a few months for this to be done. Little than i knew it would take 2 1/2 years for literally NOTHING to be done on the bike. I had checked in multiple times throughout the years, and was told to stop calling and that they would call me when it was ready. Frustrated as i was, i called to see if after 2 years they had it ready, and they hadn't done anything. So i decided i'd purchase it as is and do the work myself. After much hassle and complaining, the guy finally quoted me a price. Hardly empathic of my situation they refused to give me any discount or reparation for the time wasted waiting. I finally managed to shave a measly 20$ off it after much arguing. There was no attempt at good customer service. Definitely not how a proper business is run.
C	Christopher Paraskevas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the single greatest shop in Montreal. These folks will fix and diagnose your issues IN FRONT OF YOU. They will take the time to explain what the problem is and what needs to be done. I had an issue with gear slippage and Graeme offered to hop on the bike to see for himself. These guys are seriously THE BEST. Kudos to Josh and Graeme, simply the best care for road bikes. They’re also amazing at explaining your options and what you can add/subtract for optimal performance based on your needs. They don’t just care about riders who race— they care about what YOU need. BACK FOR A 2nd review: These guys will handle your issues with care and are super flexible. They’ll might even let you drop by before opening hours if you give them a call. Seriously- bike shops can be so frustrating but recycle cycle is the only spot for me.

I was told that its not in the vision or philosophy of the shop to do that. Rather, the owner and his underlings buy up bicycles from unsuspecting people for 50-100, add wrap tape and tires, and then mark the price up to 1200-1500. None of the bikes on display are priced or ready to be sold. They are all rusty used bikes that once they are "fixed up" are sold for exorbitant prices. You might as well go get a new/used bike from a reputable shop. Dont waste your time.
