J	Jon Corbet on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in for head injury suffered at work. Still waiting to be seen, 10 hours later. They have no triage or head nurse that knows who takes priority. Let people in before me who came after and nowhere close to my head trauma. Ask how long the wait and get told "email your mp anytime". Staff have no care for patients and would rather talk about apartments and who is seeing who.
A	Aaron Hoffman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an amazing experience at the Queensway Carleton Hospital today! The staff were all friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the patients! All in all, I did not wait too long and I was seen, tested and diagnosed for a kidney stone in less than 5.5 hours. During Covid - I think that is pretty good! I would also like to mention that I was at the MontFord yesterday for the same issue and I waited 9.5 hours and was never seen - after I was brought in by ambulance in extreme pain! I came to the Queensway on my own the next day... It was like night and day between the 2 hospitals. The MontFord staff are almost evil and do not care about the patients - while as I mentioned above, the staff at the Queensway were great! Thanks again Queensway Carleton Hospital!

The issue I had is however, in order to get copies of your x-rays to provide to other practitioners, they do not have electronic images, they put them on a CD.... what century are they in? If you need X-rays - go to Canadian Diagnostic Imaging, same day results and they can move any results to anyone and give you access to all your results online to do with what you please.
S	Stephany Meunier on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff yesterday on the emergency side are wonderful, and made me feel welcome and safe. Unfortunately I did not receive that same treatment today. The main entrance in-take lady was rude and disrespectful. Asked me if I was vaccinated, I say no. She mumbled under her breath "great." As if I wouldn't hear. Not very professional, keep your personal opinions to yourself when you're working. It's people like you that make people not want to come in when they need to.
P	Pouchie Slick on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's always buzy here. Some staff are nice, than you get not a nice staff. I know they work hard, but we all are working hard these days. I just wish these staff would just be nicer and understanding, I always feel that Am wasting their time,that's why I never go to the hospital..until I feel like am dieing. Thank u for everyone hard work, but just be nicer...it's not that hard.

In short, I've spent hundreds of hours there, being a patient or visitor. I have very, very few complaints. We get excellent care, from nurses to doctors, ED to ACE care. Wait times are painful at times, but if you need immediate help, you absolutely get it. It's called Triage for a reason. I've heard the way some patients speak to staff, and the abuse the staff take. Going on two years of the pandemic, the staff must be at their breaking point. Be kind.
L	Lianne Wouda on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the emergency today and all of the staff were so warm and kind! It took 6 hours from beginning to end because I ended up going there a little late (1pm). I also had blood work done, an X-ray, an ECG and a meeting with Doctor Lu (apologize for spelling), she was so wonderful. I loved all the nurses and doctors on staff today. Thanks for such a great experience given the context! I really felt the patient care. I'm sorry you don't have better reviews that reflect the quality from this hospital. I also ended up being completely fine :)

Wait times are reasonable, depending on how wait room traffic. The space is kept clean; washrooms especially. The Doctors are kind and take their time with the patients. I'm very grateful to have a hospital like this in Ottawa. Thank you Queensway Carleton Hospital. *If you like my reviews, please hit the like button.
