Must double check with other companies before going to them about prices and give them your vehicle. And make sure they check your vehicle before starting to fix . They change my jeep lines without checking as leak was in radiator. Billed me 535 . As leak was in radiator when i went back to them owner said some stone might hit the radiator thats why now radiator is leaking . Quoted me 950 for company radiator and 500 for after market. I took my vehicle to other shop in northeast they checked it showed me and changed is for 470 instead of 950. I have receipts from both of the shops .

My husband called these guys for a quote on a transmission job, and was told $2500 sight unseen.for installing a rebuilt transmission. They told him they don't diagnose the problem, they just install the transmissions. That seem strange to me, to put out that kind of money, without even getting any kind of assessment. I called back to follow up, and was then quoted anywhere from $2700 to $3000, (why the change?) and that it shouldn't be more than $3,000 unless they found the fan/cooler had to also he replaced, which was a red flag to me. Seems like the old "bait and switch" tactic. Get your transmission disassembled and then, (and only then,) discover further *inevitable * problems, creating further expense, to which your now pretty much obligated to accept, with having your transmission apart. The fellow I spoke to said it if that was the case, $3300 would be the absolute most. I asked him if he would put it in a quote for me in an email, to which he replied that he would, (after some hesitation.) Unsurprisingly, I never received that email. Transparency and ethical work practices bring their reward in the end. I personally don't trust a transmission shop that gives quotes, (that fhey never did back up!) and makes promises sight unseen, and immediately implements a disclaimer that there could be further problems. We will go elsewhere. Update in response to shop"s reply : I did ask when I called what it would cost to "replace the transmission," which one would assume would include all associated costs, or what their practices were. I asked for his qoute to be sent in an email, and I think that would be the time where the person I was speaking with would clarify any unforeseen expenses. Not sure what the owner was referring to when he refers to a tear down or disassembly? I simply asked what it would cost to put in new transmission, and let's just say the more questions I asked, the more the answer I got became increasingly ambiguous. It further begs the question, why was the quote not sent? Nothing was ever mentioned about a scan or test drive. They simply said that they don't diagnose. This all seems rather contradictory, with a definite lack of clarity, does it not? gain, transparentcy is key here. There are other transmission shops with next to no low ratings, (the reviews on "Yelp" for this shop also are telling.) and I think there is a likely a very good reason for that.

These guys have the best rates in all of Calgary hands down. They do amazing flawless work, and I know from experience.
