I am writing this on behalf of my mom. Promed Accepted a referral from the family doctor very quickly. Appointment Information was sent to us via email. Efficient booking process/procedure. YES! The day of the procedure, your appointment time may not be accurate because of other patients. In our case, the endoscopist found CANCER. Some procedures/patients cannot be rushed!!! Dr. Cohen was amazing, thorough and expedited further cancer testing at Sunnybrook, where he is affiliated. The clinic/lab QUICKLY provided results of biopsy to other specialists so that treatment could begin! They always answered my call or called back right away! Thank you for your work! Additionally, I too have personal experience with Promed. I had a bacterial infection and was prescribed an antibiotic at a walk in clinic after providing a stool sample. It didn’t work. By that point it was so bad that A colonoscopy was required. Dr. Margulies found out that it was MORE than one type of bug/bacteria and provided the correct medication and dosage, and additional dietary information/treatment. Good care takes time, I’d prefer to wait for professionals than be rushed and wrongly diagnosed elsewhere. I highly recommend this clinic.

This review is not about the doctors working in the clinic. It’s about the clinic services. I got a call for a follow up appointment one month prior to the visit. Didn’t get any calls for a confirmation. When I came, the appointment was not scheduled. The registration said I didn’t confirm the appointment. At the end, the doctor did see me after 1.5 hours wait. But it was shocking experience for a Sunday morning.

My husband Tom has been experiencing pain around his middle for quite some time now. He had the usual tests and visited the urologist who did tests but couldn't find any cause for the pain. The urologist suggested Tom get a colonoscopy and gastroscopy. Our physician sent a referral to a surgeon but we live in the country and there is a wait list for procedures. I called Promed Endoscopy and we sent them a referral. Within a few days we received a call and he was given an appointment. He had just enough time to do the preparation. We had a very positive experience. The ladies on the front desk were very .patient with me and my husband said everyone he dealt with were very kind and efficient. I can't praise them enough. As an added bonus we were told the results right away and provided with a prescription for medication. . We would not hesitate to recommend Promed Thank you Promed staff. Tom and Barb Thompson

I had my procedure yesterday. My schedule was 11:30 but they did the procedure around 2 pm. Just imagine how hungry and thirsty I am coz I was told no food and water after midnight. There scheduling is not good, not on time and I was told its because there's only one doctor and it depends with the condition of the patient. They should anticipate and prepare with this kind of situation. I really appreciate Elizabeth Wong the nurse who took care of me, she's so incredible. She deserve to receive a recognition. Also Rhoda a Filipino nurse she's so nice too. Dr. Chang and Dr. Margulles (not sure the spelling)they're very nice as well.

Extremely disorganized management. Scheduled me for an appointment without telling me how to prepare for the procedure. I travelled for 6 hours to toronto just for the appointment for them to tell me that there was a mistake and I can come back in a few months. Then, they scheduled an appointment for labour day and only realized that when I called to confirm. Extremely long wait hours before your procedures because they still haven't figured out how long their procedures take. They would rather have a pile of patients waiting in their office during Covid instead of working on their timing .

A very professional diagnostic clinic. Due to a Kidney stone on the Saturday, just prior. And due to the pandemic a headache and fever caused me to get tested. I had to cancel my Tuesday appointment, on the Monday. And although their literature was clear that 3 days were needed to cancel. The young woman on the phone said "We understand, reschedule when you have a negative result." When the result was given on the Thursday, i was able to reschedule for the following Monday! That is correct. An appointment I had waited a week for was not bumped months but only 6 days. Because the fasting and prep were time critical they resent the original literature with updated dates and times. When I arrived the front desk was clear on where I was in the queue, and double checked my ride home. Once I was given a gown and a locker for my belongings. I was asked a stunning amount of questions by a nurse named Noor. He told me what was coming next, and why he was asking these questions. At various points I heard others being asked the same questions. (He must run through that 50 times a day.) He was clear and attentive EVERYTIME. Dr Chan, the anesthetist, was next and she read everything the nurse had written and double checked any answers she needed clarification on. She discussed why she wanted clarification. I didn't realize my recreational drug and alcohol use affects anesthetic dosage. A colonoscopy is not a procedure I want to wake up in the middle of. She then named the Doctor that would be doing the procedure and would be my next contact. When I was wheeled into the procedure room Dr. Margulies, again, read everything the others had written and discussed any concerns I had. . After the procedure she discussed the findings and the next steps necessary. She was professional and showed human concern for my questions. I have to say I have never had a medical procedure that was performed in a more professional manner. And this after being treated like cattle in the emergency for my Kidney stone the Thursday before. To the review that complained about state of the office. I have a history in construction and commercial real estate. The building they are in is scheduled to be torn down. Their landlord has abandoned them. Still their office interior has fresher paint than the rest of the building.

Great team of nurses, anaesthesiologists, and of course the heart of it all - doctor L. Cohen, who is very warm, attentive and caring. Super efficient operation - in and out in less than 2 hours. I keep going to doctor Cohen and his staff for my regular colonoscopies and every time procedure was smooth, no pain, just right amount of anesthetiser used, so you don’t feel groggy yet never feel anything during procedure. Clinic location is convenient and office is clean. The front staff very polite and efficient. What else could you ask for?

Excellent service! The receptionist is friendly and accommodating. Dr. Marguelis, Noor and entire staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and made me feel at ease with the gastroscopy. This was my second time going to Promed and will continue to go here and reccomend this location.
