About Regent Park Medical Clinic

Wash your hands.

Stay two metres apart.

These are two pieces of advice we have heard repeatedly since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. But there is one more important proactive thing you could be doing to proactively help others. You could be tracking your contacts in case you become infected with COVID-19.

Contact tracing is essentially detective work. It begins when someone tests positive for COVID-19. That person is asked to list, with as much detail as possible, where they have been and who they have been in contact with. If you were diagnosed with COVID-19, could you name every person and location you and/or your family has been in the last two weeks including times and dates? Lives are busy and remembering all that detail, especially if multiple family members are involved, can be hard!

Step 1: Plan

Your options for recording your contacts are vast. Use your phone, a daytimer, a calendar or even just a notepad.

Step 2: Do

Record the details of when, where and who for every bubble member. Make sure to include the date and which member of your bubble was involved and at what time. Please ensure you have valid phone numbers for these people at the ready.

Example

  • August 17
    • XX Pharmacy, Mom, ~11am
    • XX dentist, Mom & R, 11:45am-12:15pm
    • XX grocery store, Dad, 4:30pm
    • XX gas station, Dad, 5pm
    • XX’s house with friends F, J and T, C, 8-10:30pm

Step 3: Repeat daily

You may never need it, but if you are diagnosed with COVID-19, your contact record could help significantly slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Staff meeting! Yikes, more important with doors open during business hours and no-one that can do a blood pressure reading for someone who really needed to get it check. Great job Saskatchewan Health.....pathetic system.

The receptionist asked me to come back in one hour to see a Doctor. I came back to wait over another hour with my sick 2 month old baby sitting in a waiting room with people caughing! Zero care for patients just trying to book as many people in as possible.

Poor customer service. I called the clinic to check availability and the lady who picked my call told me to hold, without even asking why I am calling. I was on hold for 10 min, then I hung up. I went to clinic, patients were their last priority ofcourse I made a guess on phone.Very clear that she is more concerned with number of patients they sees rather than the quality of the service. God bless them and their patients ?

The Doctors and pharmacist that work here are great! The issue comes down to the receptionist, she is not organized and over promises and under delivers on wait times. She has zero courtesy for your time and is off on her estimates by hours.

Just moved my husband and myself to this clinic in January. So far, we are very impressed with the bright and clean clinic, the friendly and helpful receptionists, the ease of making or changing appointments that suit our timelines, minimal wait times, and of course, our new physician, Dr. Lawani. Such a refreshing change all around from the clinic we had previously been with for many years!

Slow, slow, slow. I arrived at 2:10 to get my son's foot looked at. The reception said it would be about a 45 minute wait. 2 hours later we are still waiting. Reception takes about 20 minutes just to call in the next patient. Not impressed, will not be back. The ER would be faster than this clinic.

When someone is coming to the clinic.they need to understand the criticality of the situation.I understand they have to give importance to the patients who are booked with their family doctor but walk-in should also be treated same way. Here doctors are nice they know how to treat the patients but the front end staff they don’t value you or your time .In the past I had to change switch my family doctor because of the same experience I had with the receptionist.this review is just based on my todays experience.I visited the same clinic last month as well for my injections and doctor was understanding and helpful.

Honestly I haven't even gotten in to see a doctor yet but some hag of an old man just came in and started yelling at the staff, causing a scene because HE couldn't afford something. I was so impressed when the manager came out and immediately defended the staff. Props to the receptionists who handled it so well too because I would've popped off if it were me. If I hadn't had a sore throat I would've given him a talking to lol. Also good job to the other patient in the waiting room who stepped up as well and told him to calm down. Anyways, keep up the good work everyone ?
