Reading reviews from other people here are true!!! Don’t bother trying to resell your clothes here. They try to act like they are a high end consignment store when really they are a thrift store. I brought in name brands like Guess, Aritzia, Lacoste, Fashion Nova some with tags never worn which was literally bought few months before and they told me this isn’t in style or we take designer items. I laughed and said I go to a consignment store to sell my designer items you guys are a thrift store not some high end designer store. Beggars aren’t choosers. Don’t waste your time going here. Even if they do want to buy something off you they give you loose change toonies thats it! Not even worth your time or gas to travel here. You are better off donating your things to a Good Will. A lot of their things are over priced. I rather spend an extra $20.00 at Aritzia for brand new clothing that are “in style.”

Went in with brand name clothes most unworn some even with tags on it. Girl at counter said "their being really picky right now" most of the clothes looked like they hadn't been gone thru based on the condition of the bag. All clothes were laundered aside from the ones with tags but the kicker is the next day I went to a store that buys clothes on the queensway and they bought 70% of my clothes. If your looking for top dollar on your designer items I'd suggest you be picky as well and go to another reseller the Plato's closet in Newmarket is much better from what I recall which is why I still gave 2 stars because I believe it's the location not the franchise as a whole

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Right when I walked in the staff was rude and giving me dirty looks (especially one in particular). As they looked through the clothes I brought to sell I looked through the store and found countless fake lululemon items, please fix up your store. Then the staff informed me they wouldn’t be taking anything because of the condition of the clothes… when it was literally barely used clothing. They were so rude and disrespectful my experience was so bad I will never come back to this location again and I will tell everyone to avoid it at all costs. I went to the Vaughn location and they gave me $30 for the exact same bag of clothes. The staff at this store are rude, disrespectful people that need to be educated and fired tbh. I hope this location goes bankrupt.

Terrible experience cashing out today, my friend had never been to Plato's closet so i told her we should go check it out. I've been going for awhile stop in at least once a month never encountered anything like i did today. It seems as though the customer ahead of me was very difficult and the cashier was very visibly upset at the encounter which then resulted in her taking that out on me the next in line. I bought 1 shirt for my son, and I didn't get a "Hello, How are you doing?".. I didn't get asked if I had a phone # on file, which i do - so that transaction resulted in no points. I was told the total $11.30 - I gave her $21.30 - and she hands me back $9.00. I told her the change back to me should be $10.00 and she was very rude and said "Oh right". She then gives me the correct change and no receipt. I walk away and my friend puts her items up, and it's like the attitude did a 180 - the same cashier was so pleasant to my friend -very jovial, asked her how her day was, did she find everything she was looking for, did she have a phone # on file?.. my friend said she didn't think so because she'd never been before so the cashier enters it and says "Ooooh look at that XXX your name is on file, are you sure you've never been here before?". I don't get it.. Am i not worthy of the same service because i was unlucky to be directly behind a difficult customer? or was it because she didn't like the "look" of me because I was in sweats and a hoodie and my friend was dressed "nicer" Jeans, bodysuit, corduroy jacket, blundstones etc. I probably won't return after this - really left a bad taste in my mouth. I've been a cashier for over 20+ years - probably longer than this person at your store has been alive and the experience was unpleasant. I've received better customer service at goodwill - and that isn't saying much to be fair.

They didn't have a customer washroom, but the offerings were very tasteful. These are the type of thrift stores were I don't worry too much about holes or defects. Most of their clothing I can say are in good quality. Prices are a little steep though but that's the trade off.

Love the quality and selection that’s available. Also they were super helpful with an exchange that other thrift shops (like value village) would be a nightmare to deal with. The girls who work at the cashier are always super friendly and helpful and I will be coming back for sure

Selling your clothes here is a hit or miss. Most times it's a HUGE MISS. Was informed my clothes were unaccepted due to being "out of stock". This confused me as I made sure my clothes were in more than fair condition and branded (forever 21, Zara). Some even with tags. The energy here LACKS by staff. Was informed that I'd receive a text within 35min which turned out to be over 1 hr. By the time I returned, it didn't even look like my items were thoroughly checked. Customer service and time management is so poor at this location it's a joke. Highly wouldn't recommend

It’s unfortunate that this location doesn’t have the same friendly energy and welcoming vibe as the Brampton location. The staff here barely acknowledge you when you walk in. The energy so low when you get into the place and the staff feel like they don’t want to be there. Compared to the Brampton location you can tell those people are like a “family” and really get along. That positive energy makes them friendlier to people coming in whether selling or buying. Mississauga location buying counter is so poorly organized and the people there don’t know what’s popular or trendy. They’re mostly looking for only brands like Nike or Aritzia it seems. That’s why the racks don’t have great variety in comparison to Brampton’s. If you’re thinking of selling, don’t waste your time here. If you want to buy, same mindset. Staff are rude and not worth the time. Look at the countless negative reviews here. If I was the owner of this Mississauga location, I would visit the Brampton location and see what they’re doing right there and try to duplicate the success. It’s literally night and day in comparison.
