★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A buddy and I went there to checkout their bike selection, but we ended up surprised for how well we were attended. So my friend decided to take his $10k road bike there for a maintenance checkup. The technician was really good and explain us things we were not aware about the bike and its components, plus some tips about riding in town since we come from different countries and the roads and rules are different from what we are used to. We are definitely coming back to this shop/store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Man on the phone has absolutely no customer service skills. I called asking about pricing and he yelled in my ear "NOT A CHANCE" if you need a bike forn an afforable price don't go here. I would reccomend Fresh Air over them for sure if not just for the fact that they know how to treat customers.

Despite my terrible description of the product and my lack of knowledge about the part he finds it...and then find out its after the store has closed! All I can say is that if it was me I might not have been half as friendly and courteous as the guy who helped me. Great service.

Years after my original post, it is still the premier bike store in Thunder Bay. Like Home Hardware on Memorial, you just can't beat long-time knowledgeable and dedicated staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I dropped my bike off for repairs the gentleman I dealt with was knowledgeable and helpful. However when I picked up my bike, the young man at the counter told me what was wrong, said they couldn’t repair the part and didn’t replace it because it’s a cheap bike so I should just buy a new one. Regardless of what a persons bike is worth, that is not how someone should speak to a customer. My bike is still broken, what a total waste of time and money, I still had to pay $70 for the “repair”. And to add insult to injury the young man didn’t even get off the stool to open the door so I could get my bike out of the front door.
Thank you for absolutely nothing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two tours across Canada, last year they built a new back wheel for me after my old rim started to crack and this year again saved me after my crank broke in half in Kenora, sending me a crank, bottom bracket and the tools I needed to fix it on the road. My words cannot express the gratitude I have for these guys, they are truly amazing people. They deserve 10 stars, if you're ever in Thunder Bay, stop by and say hi.

We stopped in on our ride across Canada to have derailleurs adjusted and perhaps get new pedals because mine weren't releasing my shoes properly. The owner said that they just needed service and did it promptly. He noticed that my crank bearing was loose so I asked him to replace it.
He did all of this at a very fair price. Less than I might have paid for new pedals.
