Tried to get the BOGO cat litter, the brand I wanted was sold out and the other brand only had one bag left in stock so I couldn't get the free one. Only one person working the till, so lineups could get long on one of the busiest weekends. Interested in buying a regular, short hair American Guinea Pig, for which they charge $90 for one or $156 if you get two. PetSmart sells them for $36. We will make the extra 15 minute drive into the city for that price.

M	Mark on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poorly maintained... The staff seems very much so under trained and not overly involved in their respective hobby locations. The reptiles were far too small/young to be for sale or even displayed, the tanks were not in a clean fashion and seemed to not have been cleaned in a few days. The excuse of the employee was that "they aren't supposed to touch it" that often...very poor and I'm sad for the reptiles there. The aquariums were in much the same condition. Water was cloudy and fish seemed to likely be over-fed regularly. Overall, the products they have were good and similar to other petlands, but seemed very sloppy. There's parking outside, but as a reptile hobbyist for the past 15 years I was disspointed.

Helped my wife and I get a beautiful chameleon that is very healthy. 4 stars however because some advice given was wrong when purchasing the litter critter. But overall, decent service. Decent price on crickets too. Thanks petland for good service.
S	Shaylene Vanderlaan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm very disappointed, went into the airdrie petland and your staff members told me I wasn't allowed to hold the bunnies because the one staff blonde said they were skiddish thats not a problem for me as I have rescued and taken care of many bunnies and other animals throughout my life. I said fine I was super upset I couldn't because I wanted to go there specifically for the bunnies to see what they had for bunnies. I went over to the hamster area and started putting and interacting with the one hamster and a young staff member with brown hair told me no you can't hold or play with the hamster or hold it unless you want to adopt it. There was no manager on duty, but when management does see this I want you to contact me. I'll let every single person I know not to adopt any animal from your store. And refer them elsewhere. The people not allowing me to interact with the animals shouldn't be working there, the whole point of a pet store is to interact with different animals and species to see what is the proper fit. I am very knowledgeable with bunnies all types of breeds, their needs etc. And honestly am appalled with your staffs behavior. How do you expect a person to truly connect with an animal not being able to hold them to see their temperament, how the animals connects with you because many do not and some come very fond with different people. Know and expect you definitely lost my business. I have a pomeranian and had 2 bunnies who recently passed from old age, and was ready to reconnect with another bunny as I really adore them. But you will not see a single dime from me again.

We bought a cat that we had no idea had behavioral issues,who we have been told is Feral by a behavioral specialist and we are very upset. Petland did not do justice for this cat or do proper training. We may have to surrender her as a result.
