About Airdrie Animal Clinic
Wendy graduated with a DVM degree from the University of the Philippines, worked as a veterinary nurse in California for 2 years and then practiced as a licensed veterinarian and as a consultant for a kennel that bred and trained sniffer and guard dogs in Metro Manila until her family moved to Calgary in 2005. She started to work with Dr. Dand in May of that year at the Crowfoot Veterinary Hospital then moved to the Airdrie Animal Clinic in 2011. She has been using her veterinary knowledge and experience to assist the doctors and nurses care for patients and assist clients with their needs to make their experience at the clinic informative, efficient and pleasant. Wendy is also responsible for the inventory needed to keep the clinic running smoothly, and would love to hear if clients are happy with the food or prescribed products they have purchased through the clinic, or if clients have heard of new products that may benefit other patients. Sadly, Elaine(the former clinic cat) has passed away, but she adopted Kori, a black and white DMH from the Calgary Humane Society, who likes to play fetch with her mice toys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I brought my cockatiel in there for a checkup because he was having issues. I had never been there before and my first impression was absolutely fantastic. The girls working there that day were so lovely with both me and my bird, very gentle, very kind. We got a great service and our exotic pet vet dedicated a lot of time on the phone with me to answer all my questions and give great advice, which was very important because I didn't feel like I was being "pushed out the door" to just get it over with, they all took their time which is very much appreciated.
The prices are lower than Calgary clinics so that is also definitely a big plus.
I guess I've found our new permanent vet care place :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took my French bulldog, Kylo, here for his neutering and stenotic nare procedure. The vet tech was amazing and really put me at ease with my boy being a frenchie. His stitches stayed put and his incisions healed wonderfully. A place that really cares about the fur babies ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got us in same morning we called (they were referred by another clinic), our Frenchie had had surgery the week before in Calgary and was showing signs of a nasal infection and Dr Carmen gave her a thorough exam, diagnosis and a treatment plan. Thank you for getting us in quick and for being so great! Front end staff also super accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend! ❤️

I absolutely love that I can take my dogs, cats and macaws to the same place, and the staff here are fantastic with all of them. My birds have not had such fantastic care from a veterinarian before, and the girls do such a wonderful job of cutting their nails. We are so happy to have found them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taken my dogs here for years and honestly one of my favourite vets, every one is so nice and can tell they care about animals. Just took my current dog for his annual checkup the other day and he doesn't deal well with strangers especially when they have a needle. But the vet was super helpful and was willing to take the time to help get him a bit more relaxed, the receptionist and girl in the back also were super helpful. They were the type of people I want taking care of my dog

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We started taking our animals to this vet clinic when we moved to Airdrie about 2 years ago. We have 3 cats and 1 dog. All of the staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable. The vets have been so amazing too. They are caring and loving towards my animals and have helped me understand my pets needs. I will continue taking all my fur babies to this vet clinic, they are amazing!
