K	Kendra Goudey on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service is decent. When we first got our puppy they promoted a “buy 12 bags, get the next bag free” deal if we left our phone number for an account with them. So we did, and now we’re at what should’ve been our 12th bag, but it “doesn’t qualify” because it’s the size up from the bag of food we normally get. The smaller bag we had been buying is out of stock all the time & they said the warehouse doesn’t stock it anymore, so we bought the bigger bag… but for some unknown reason, buying the bigger bag and paying MORE money doesn’t apply to the 12 bag rule. Quite annoying when there’s no indication of this when they promote it, just the “buy 12 get 1 free”. They should indicate it “must” be the same bag same size to apply for the deal so people actually know.

I needed to get cat food and litter this afternoon and I called them once I got to the parking lot and they got my order ready right away. I was able to go up to the store (there was only one person in the line ahead of me) and pay for my purchase within five minutes of ordering. The staff were very friendly. Great service and would return again!

The blonde cashier was very unfriendly, feels like we interrupted their conversation even though my mom was more than nice to her. Had to even let her know we took the dog for a bath since she almost forget to charge us for it. Never acknowledged us in the bathing area which was full of boxes of treats which we had to move out of the way and close lids. At the counter, she demanded for my moms card. “Give me your card”. Usually have a pleasant experience where we are acknowledged and our dog didn’t even get a treat or spritz at the end.
H	Harp on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most unfriendliest staff ever! Nobody says hello, no one offers to help, zero customer service! Every time I walk through the door of this place to use or ask about the dog wash I am given looks up and down by the female staff that work here. When I ask question there’s always a long rude pause and the staff look at each other then answer. Where is the respect in this place? When I contact the store via phone everything seems to be fine. So I wonder…. Is it the way that I look that may be the staff’s justification for cold, rude, disrespectful behaviour? Other Pet Valu’s in the area are great with warm service and always willing to help. I use to come here for the Dog Wash now I will definitely (and gladly) be driving another 10 mins east for the Pet Valu in the Bowmanville Mall which has much kinder, better customer service!

The vets only have one stupid brand of pet food which is crazy expensive and not helping. Then my cat was wolfing down food and throwing up right away. She was so helpful informing me vets usually only have the one food, and gave me a different food to try, with the wet brand too so I could mix and spread out on this new dish to help slow her down, also showed me a reusable can lid! So cool did not know it was a thing. I bought a quite a bit of stuff and was absolutely shocked that all of it ended up being cheaper then the one bag I was buying before! I need all the money I can save with these gas prices! And this is actually working! Cat loves the food and isn’t throwing up! So happy with my experience! Hated going into the vets and pet stores! So much help!
