After 20 minutes of conversation about my possessions that were stolen from my residents, Paula my claims person, would continue to say over and over..." sorry can't help you, you should of read your policy". Never have i felt so helpless or angry.

Got an insurance policy with them. I was asked which day of the month to take the money out of my account. I told them the 21st. On the 12th they decided to go into my account and try to take money. There wasnt any in there, and i got NSF charges. Then they canceled my policy and that is going to be on my insurance history now. Im still trying to figure out how thats even legal for them to waltz into my bank account on a day i didnt authorize, but what can i do, im just a humble peasant and they are the mighty insurance company >:-(

Received great customer service from Bernice when I phoned in to check the status on my pink slip. There was a mix up with Canada Post so it didn't get delivered and she ensured that she got a new slip in the mail right away and emailed me a copy as well so I had it. She was very fast and very pleasant! I hope I receive similar customer service and prompt service if I ever need to file a claim.

Despite all these bad reviews, I had a surprisingly pleasant experience making a claim with this company. My vehicle was struck by a driver under their insurance and I did not have collision due to the vehicle being older, so I had to claim directly with them. The other driver took a while to properly report the incident, but once he did, Optimum West had an appraiser for my vehicle out within the hour, and a cheque within the week. Fantastic service!

The worst insurance ive ever went.. im now happy with my new since i move to different one. First.. this insurance made me spent a lot of money. They asked me to replace all my hot water tank, my furnace and fix everything they think are not in good im my house even though there are nothing wrong with them but i have to do it since they won't renew my home insurance. Second. My auto insurance rate keep going up even though no accidents or any claims made they are just making a way to get my auto insurance go up with a very hightincrease rate.. ive been to many insurance companies but this is the only insurance gave me a lot of trouble. I canceled all my policy from them and didn't care about the penalties at all. What i pay is stillower

We had are insurance through them. My mother and I Owned a 2018 GMC both of us where supposed to be on the policy. But only my mother was on the policy. So the dealership took the truck back saying there was no insurance on the truck. When my mother had the insurance on the truck. After they took the truck back their insurance agency denied there was insurance on the truck. To the state they have not given us a cancellation letter and never gave us any of our money back.So if you threw this company be careful they like to scam people.

Worst experience ever dealing with a company, my car was vandalized, they gave me 1/3 of value of the vehicle, then literally not even a week after receiving the insurance money to cover a replacement vehicle, they raised the cost of my policy by exactly what they paid out to me. Then come time to renew and I've confirmed switching and canceling my policy, they offer me my old rate (1000$ less). They preyed on me when I was at my most financially vulnerable and I was screamed at by an agent when attempting to get my policy number and details while switching to a new company. Unprofessional bullies and if you ever need to make a claim it will be a nightmare.

I had an accident after more than a decade insured by them. When I called to report it the person on the phone couldnโ€™t tell me anything about my coverage. I was left stranded with two kids 160km from home in a town with no rental vehicles on a long weekend. I had to pay for my own hotel. Get my own car towed back home myself. Couldnโ€™t get any information. When they finally opened again the rental place they told me I had to go to didnโ€™t have any rentals and I was not informed until 5 min before everything was closing that I could go somewhere else. They let me have the rental for 3 days and then made me return it before even issuing a check to me leaving me once again stranded and with no way to even go look at new vehicles or get my child to school. Worst insurance agency ever. Just want to take your money but donโ€™t want to help you at all. Greedy and useless.
